Bible Prophecy Commentary – Global Financial Calamities:
Yeah I know, we've heard this news about Greece once before but how long can they teeter on the verge of calamity? How long can Europe keep propping them up? How long will this boat stay afloat? The world not just Europe or not just the US is in BIG financial trouble. We've seen this for years now so what's different this time around? The Bible prophecies a time of severe worldwide distress unseen like never before is coming and could be just ahead. This is prophesied in the Black horse described in Rev 6:5-6 and it is not picturing famine as so many in the eschatological community think. For why would famine be represented by the Black horse and then recounted in the next judgment – Seal number Four, represented by the Pale horse? Doesn't make sense. For some time now we have been reading and hearing of decreasing financial markets, then increasing markets, and now oil is on a downward slippery slope threatening many economies around the globe. In 2001 and then again, seven years later in 2008, we had huge financial breaches in global markets – and these were Shemitah years.
Well, here comes 2015, the end of another seven-ear cycle (another Shemitah year) and the markets, world economies at the brink, geopolitical troubles and turmoil ramping up. Wars seem imminent and ISIS is continuing its terror, maiming and demonic killing almost unrestrained. (I submit to you that these are a revived version of the ancient Assyrians returning to bring God's rod of angry and judgment upon sinful mankind – more on this in another post). This year will also bring two more Blood Moons, and two solar eclipses. Does it mean anything or are these normal events and we should just shrug them off as the intellectuals we make ourselves out to be? Well, you be the judge, don't be a skeptic, but look at the history of the Blood Moons and solar eclipses – do the research and see if Almighty God is not signaling us for what's to come so we can prepare. So your next question might be – "How do we prepare?" If nothing else in your faith and trust in God and His Providence for your life. But … and I qualify with another 'but', you must be following His Son Jesus Christ for this to be a reality in your life. You must have confessed Him as your Lord and Savior and repented of your sins – Rom 10:9-10; Luke 13:1-5.
Be advised folks, the Lord is returning and He will not come this time as the Lamb of God in humility, grace and mercy. This time He will come as the Lion of Judah one that is called Faithful and True conquering and smiting (striking, punishing, blasting) His enemies and those that do not believe in Him – 2 Th 1:8; Rev.5. 1-10; Rev 19:1-21. He will not be kidding or grading on a curve this time. Keep watch!
