Do You Really Know God?
He Doesn’t Play Church but He Does Know Your Heart
“They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.” -Psalm 14:3 (KJV)
Time is growing short and it seems that this world is now on a course for destruction and the loss of many lives. All the more reason for all of us to get serious with God. The time for playing around has ended now it’s get right time.
We live in a rapidly changing world, a world now filled with all kinds of unrest, danger, turmoil, evil and wickedness. Nations are against nations and kingdoms against kingdoms. Deception is rampant and many are being deceived and caught up in its web. Daily we read how death stalks the halls of this life and it knows not those that it takes. Suicide bombings and shootings are becoming more widespread and more frequent. The weather is nothing but over the top now – severe in every form now.
Wars are occurring all over the globe – currently there are 67 countries engaged in war. Reading, hearing and seeing of the gloom and doom news each day is saddening and very negative. Extreme weather is attacking this earth with fervor and ferocity – floods envelope many nations and people are dying. Mega-wildfires plague America’s western states; peoples homes are being burned up by the thousands. Friends, the news is not good and when you consider all the events ramping up in light of Bible Prophecy and the last days before Christ’s return, the hour is late, very late indeed!
“The Lord is slow to anger and great in power, and the Lord will by no means clear the guilty. His way is in whirlwind and storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.” -Nahum 1:3 (ESV)
As I have written many times in this blog, sin is enmity against Almighty God and results in outright rejection of Him and His laws. In fact, it’s this rejection that is destroying the earth – Jer 9:12-14. Peoples hearts are becoming harder and harder. Mankind has and is now with rapidity turning away from the God of the Bible, yes, even in our Christian churches where people aren’t confronted with their sin, don’t know Him and have little fear of Him. Why? Because they are not being taught. People-pleasing pastors and priests are steering many right into the depths of hell.
You see, the sheer reality of our short life span here on earth is that we are faced with eternity every minute of every day.
There are no guarantees of one more breath or one more heartbeat. So we must be ready to meet our God at anytime; yes, the rapture of the church is coming and the terrible Tribulation times are on the way but what about today, right now; what about you? What if your name was called from God’s heavenly throne to stand before Him today? Would you be ready, would you be right with Him?
These are serious and in-your-face questions, no doubt. But really have you stopped or pressed the pause on your fast-paced life to consider them?
The people slaughtered in the nations listed above most likely didn’t know they would die on that particular day. How much more do we born-again, Bible-believing Christians need to be ready to meet the Lord? But what about those that are on a joy ride in this life – the unbelievers, the skeptics, the mockers, the profane and unholy? Perhaps some of you reading this today fall into one of those categories. Maybe you are just ‘playing’ with God and have one foot in the world and one foot in Christianity or religiosity and play Churchianity. You know who you are. Listen now, you had better be right with Almighty God before you step into eternity.
As you know I speak bluntly and to the point. I don’t beat around the bush like so many of our pulpit pleasers do concerning the things of God. Remember, loving one another also means caring enough to confront people about their sin and relationship with with Jesus Christ. Eternity is a long time and many people today don’t care about it, don’t even think about it or are afraid to bring it into focus.
My point today is to ask you – are you right with God … right now? Almighty God is absolutely loving and kind and not wanting any to perish (2 Pet 3:9) but He also is serious: about unrepentant sin and the consequences of rejecting His Son – Jesus Christ – who He sent to pay the ultimate sacrifice for our sins. He also doesn’t play church and doesn’t even listen to insincere, artificial or fake worship.
But we must call upon Him, accept Him and profess His name. We must acknowledge our sins and repent of them daily. We must therefore live a holy dedicated life acceptable to Him. We must strive to stay on the narrow road that leads to life and not be found on the broad and wide road that leads to destruction. The hour is late and His coming draws nearer by the day. I have heard it said by many even non-Christians, that they feel something is about to happen that will cause great calamity upon mankind. What are you feeling?
“Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14- Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” -Matt 7:13-14 (KJV)
Please, I urge you to get right with God today. Do it right now; get down on your knees are pray professing the Lord Jesus as your Savior and then confess your sin and repent of it. Follow His instructions for becoming a Christian with the verses below. If you have backslid away from God, then ask Him to forgive you and repent of your sins (lifestyle) and return into His loving arms of grace and mercy. Today is the day of salvation; besides we have no assurances that tomorrow will even come for any of us. Friends, eternity without God, existing in the torments and flames of hell, is a long, endless time.
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10- For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” -Rom 10:9-10 (KJV)

“Thus saith the Lord; Stand in the court of the Lord’s house, and speak unto all the cities of Judah, which come to worship in the Lord’s house, all the words that I command thee to speak unto them; diminish not a word: 3- If so be they will hearken, and turn every man from his evil way, that I may repent me of the evil, which I purpose to do unto them because of the evil of their doings.” -Jer 26:2-3 (KJV)
