Rapture: Taken or Left Here to Face the Horrors of the Seven-Year Tribulation?

To the Scoffers, Mockers and Critics: What if the ‘Rapture’ Does Occur?

“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.” -1 Th 4:16-17 (KJV)

What will it be like after the born-again, real Bible-believing Christians known by the Lord are caught away (raptured) at some point in the, I believe, very near future? Let me first say that in this discussion the legitimacy and validity of the rapture will not be in focus and can be a topic for a future post. Albeit, it is this author’s absolute belief that the rapture will occur as described in OT and NT scripture. In review, prior to Christ’s return to earth, He will return in the clouds and gather His Bride – the ‘called out’ ones – His true followers – and take them back to His home, His Kingdom in heaven. Once this occurs the Seven Year Tribulation will start and it could occur simultaneously. Have you considered where you stand in this doctrine of the Rapture taught in God’s Holy Word? What will it be like, that is, after the true Christians are instantly removed from this earth in the twinkling of an eye (1 Cor 15:51-53)? It’s time to think very carefully about these things – now today, not when you feel like it.

“Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52- in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed.” 1 Cor 15:51-52 (ESV)

World Turmoil Now…

We know that right now the world is rapidly descending into a continuous spiral of wickedness, hate, anxiety, strife, and unrest. The Middle East is on fire and primed for more wars. America, Syria, Russia, China, NKorea, Iran plus others are like dried-out tinder next to a lit match. Extreme weather events with storms and swings in temperature, rainfall, and snow seem off the charts and growing worse. Earthquakes, with more and more volcanoes becoming active, sinkholes opening, people hating and killing one another, riots all over (especially here in the US), homosexuality and gay-marriage have exceeded Sodom and Gomorrah’s sin against God.  America’s abortion abomination industry is continuing, with our tax dollars going to murder the innocence unborn, thanks to this evil White House Administration. Additionally, the world is teetering on the edge of an unparalleled global economic meltdown. And on and on it goes. Time to face the facts: we are facing unprecedented calamities on a global scale. Now I know some will scoff at this and that is their prerogative but for me and many others, including renowned Bible scholars, this world is rapidly approaching the end of this age and the return of Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son in the Rapture of His Bride.

So now here comes the question for all people that call themselves Christians?

So what if this “Last Trumpet” is sounded today…?

If the Lord descended today with the voice of an Archangel and the last trumpet of God was heard, would you be ready to go in the twinkling of an eye? No time to say goodbye, no time to pack, no time to tidy up the place, your gone in less than the blink of an eye. Let that sink in for a moment…

Would you be taken as a true, righteous, born-again follower and believer in Christ? Or would you be left behind to face the horrors of the next seven years of intense persecution and strife in the Tribulation?

No church or religious membership affiliation, or knowing some kind of religious human figurehead (i.e. the Pope, Mary, a bishop, a priest) or associated with a group of people nor how many times you attend church or anything else will save you or assure you a place in the light-speed vertical movement that takes place at the rapture of His Bride.

“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” -Acts 4:12 (KJV)

It must be remembered that salvation and therefore eternal life is found in NO one else except the Lord Jesus Christ. That’s the bottom line, end of the story, no man-dictated, self-righteous position of taking Christ’s place will get you into heaven. Only, and absolutely only, knowing Jesus as your Lord and Savior will get you through the heavenly gates of His kingdom. If you don’t believe that, it doesn’t change the fact and I am sorry for you, but the truth, the authority, the power for this reality is only found in God’s Holy Scripture – the Bible.

Are you ready?

The following is also for pastors (they are not exempt from this truth simply because they are church leaders, teachers, or pastors).

If you know the Lord (have proclaimed His name, confessed and repented of your sins and believe that Almighty God raised Him from the dead) and are known by Him, you will be taken. If you don’t and are just playing Christianity, playing church, pretending you’re all pious and Christian-like, you will not make it. This is not me saying this – God’s Holy Writ is the only source, power, authority, and final conclusion of the matter.

Friends, above all else this is the most serious reality we all face in this life! As many are dying all over the globe due to increased calamities, disasters, evil men and policies, extreme nature, death for any of us could come at any time. But back to the big question …. are you ready to meet the Lord and be escorted into His Kingdom either in the Rapture of His Bride or in your own personal death if that comes sooner? This is not a subject that’s often discussed but nevertheless needs some serious attention at length in this day and age. You ready?

Amen!

“Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52- in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed. 53- For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality.” -1 Cor 15:51-53 (ESV)

Two Roads: Narrow and Wide – Which One Are You On?

Two Gates, Two Roads, Two Ways

“Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. 14- For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.” -Matt 7:13-14 (ESV)

Did you ever try and walk down a 2×4 lengthwise and not fall off? Then did you try a wide board, say a 2×12 or a wide post, say a 6×6. So what happened? I bet it was harder to stay on the 2×4 than on the 2×12. I would assume that to stay balanced and able to walk down the 2×4 was difficult and perhaps you fell off a few times but yet tried to get back on. How about you who have tried to walk the 2×4 but kept hurting your ankle falling off and you just couldn’t stay on?

Friends, the above is an example of the scripture text for this message found in Matt 7:13-14. The two gates and the two ways or roads. Please read it again a little slower and let the message the Lord is giving us, in this very descriptive text, of what course our lives take in our walk with Him. You see we only have two choices for there is no middle of the road or there is no being neutral in spiritual matters. You are either with Him or against Him – “Anyone who isn’t with me opposes me, and anyone who isn’t working with me is actually working against me.” -Matt 12:30 (NLT)

WIDE WAY – The Easy Road

Listen to what Jesus said about the wide way – wide is the gate and easy or broad is the way that leads to destruction. Did you hear that? And then look what He says about who’s on that road – “many”! Many, folks, many choose to have an easy time of life, of serving Him but are missing the mark. They have fun and play with the things of God. Never admit they’re a sinner, never confess their sin or repent. Oh yeah, some go to church and make a good show or they go to ease their own conscience and punch the “I was there” scorecard. These would take walking on a 6×6 over the 2×4 any day despite that at the end of each of those two planks was a door that led them to eternal life – heaven for real believers and hell for the fake Christians.

In the case of the wide way the final destination is death – death in the physical and death in the spiritual with an eternal destination of hell. Examples of people that are on this path would be those that believe salvation is by works alone and/or follow the traditions of men rather than God’s word. They believe that “other’s” of/in the church can save them – mere men or mere women. They forget that the Bible says that all of us have sinned and fall short of the Glory of the Lord (Rom 3:23) – everyone: past, present and future no matter who you are. Examine also Rom 3:10. These, IMO, are just some of the ones on the broad, easy, wide road that according to Jesus will lead to destruction.

NARROW WAY – The Hard Road

Now read what the Lord says about the other choice, the other gate and way. The Lord is defining the exclusive nature of His kingdom by using the narrow road as a descriptor of its nature  and requirement of entrance. It’s narrow, and the way is hard but it’s the gate to life and friends, He says few find it.

Few!! Let that sink in for a few moments…

That means not many will be able to stay on this road. For one reason or another, some may get on but find following Jesus to be too hard (John 6:66), too difficult and would rather jump back on the easy street of the wide or broad way. This is a fact that many are taking today and apostasy is growing faster and faster.

Following Jesus takes guts! Takes grit! Takes hard work. Takes courage and determination. Praying, fasting, reading the Bible daily, telling others the Good News of the Gospel. Counting the cost of discipleship is a daily tally – yours and mine. A daily cost to ones self; a daily sacrifice. To stay on the narrow way takes faith with true salvation. It requires a complete surrender and submission to Christ as Lord and Savior. No backing down. And it’s by grace alone. Nothing else and no one else. It’s 100% dedication, not 95 or 90 – all of you or nothing -Rom 6:13. You are all in or you are not in.

If you find yourself on the wide road (easy street) your final destination will not be fun or easy. Jesus explains several times what the result is and where it is for those that play Him, play Christianity, fake their faith. Search it out and read what He says about it.

In my opinion, Christian pastors today are hard at work widening the narrow road to make it more pleasing and easier to travel on when in fact it is not! Don’t let your pastor twist or spin this Gospel doctrine to make it sound easier or more palatable. Suggest to him to back off on the entertainment and teach the tough stuff of the Gospel. If he won’t … get out of there and find a Bible-teaching church, teaching the whole Bible.

Today is the day to let these words digest in in you and introspectively determine which road you are on. You and I have to do this every day for we can only be on one or the other. If you find yourself with one foot on the wide road and one foot on the narrow road then you are lukewarm and Jesus says He will vomit you out of His mouth – Rev 3:16.

So if you are on the wide road – get off it now! Get on the narrow road, go through the narrow gate of Jesus. And serve Him only, believe in Him only and follow His word (the Bible) only. All other methods are cheap, easy, and require little of any faith in the Lord.

So, bottom-line – which road are you on? Things are being shaken all over this planet now and IMO, it won’t be long before He comes to take His Bride, the church (the real born-again, Bible-believing, surrendered, committed, and faithful Christians and not the “pew rocks”) away in the rapture. You ready?

“Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:” -Heb 12:25-26 (KJV)

Psalm 46 – “Be Still and Know That I Am God”

God Is Our Refuge, A Very Present Help in Time of Trouble

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. 2- Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, 3- though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling. Selah” -Psalm 46:1-3 (ESV)

Almighty God is with those who make Him your refuge and your strength. For those that live a life of holiness in the Lord Jesus Christ and trust in Him with all their heart, mind and soul, He will be with us every step of the way no matter what mountain we face.

War now plagues the planet with the onslaught of Russia and the Ukraine, tensions between the US and Russia have never been higher. Israel and Iran are about ready to duke it out. China any day now stands ready to wipe our Taiwan. Times are extremely concerning and this next war/s could be devastating. So in spite of all these negative things happening globally, where is your faith? In stuff or in the Almighty?

For those that profess and confess Christ as their Savior, repenting of their sin and claim Him as their Lord they are assured that He is with them every step of the way. How do we know this? Scripture says it many times. He promises to be with us in everything – in every storm, every turmoil, every circumstance – if we will but trust Him in all things. Not in just the good times, but the tough ones too. For He is in absolute control no matter what happens … anywhere. This fact must be an anchor solidifying our faith mooring it to our hearts and minds. For there is no reason to fear. Why? Take a look at Luke 12:6-7 with me for a moment…

“Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God? 7- But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.” -Luke 12:6-7 (KJV)

It says that He numbers even the hairs of our head. That’s how much He loves and cares for those that are His. IMO, not even one hair will be harmed if He does not approve or sanction it. Not one! Let this sink deep into your soul and reflect on it as often as necessary. Remember, His will will be done – Lord’s Prayer, Matt 6:9-13.

“Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth” -Psa 46:10 (KJV)

Put your full trust in Him friends with unwavering and steadfast faith.

Be still and know that He is God and there is no other. He loves us and says the Angel of the Lord will encamp around those that fear Him and He will deliver them – Psalm 34:7. This my friends, you can take to the bank. Just remember it’s His will that will be accomplished and not ours. Pray and seek Him with utmost sincerity and honesty in complete humility. He will hear us and He will do what is best for us. This is faith in action. This is trust in action. Do not speak words of doubt but speak words of deliverance, strength, protection … claim Psalm 91 over you and your family.

“The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.” -Psalm 34:7 (KJV)

So do not fear, and do not be troubled. For fear is not from God – 2 Tim 1:7. Fear paralyzes you and immobilizes your faith. It should have not any root in the rock-solid believer’s life. Be strong and courageous for the Lord will be with you wherever you go – Josh 1:9.

“You keep him in perfect peace
whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.” -Isa 26:3 (ESV)

Be at peace with God, set your mind on Him. Trust in the Lord!

Again, remember, be still and know that I am God, says the Lord God Almighty. Be calm inside and not driven by the winds and waves of newscasts and reports that paint a very bleak picture of what’s going on. The media is herding people into a corral of fear and worry, scrambling for everything but God. Be quieted and assured that our lives are in His hands 100%. Share this with others and help them build up their faith in Christ in this trying time. Share the Gospel as this is a perfect opportunity to tell others about the free gift of salvation and the Good News come down from heaven to a sin-ridden world.

For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” -Rom 10:13 (ESV)

And please ensure you are right with God. If you only do one thing today … pray and seek His face. Ask forgiveness for your sin, then repent of it. Please ensure through your lifestyle that God knows your name and you know His. If you’ve drifted, come back. If you’ve backslid, return to Him. He is waiting at the door, please let Him in.

“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.” -Rev 3:20 (KJV)

Be blessed today beloved and let your assurance of salvation shine through what you do, say, and think.

Turn to Scripture to help you through this time and turn the TV down or off!

Rmember, God is still on the throne…don’t put your trust in mere men, or in your portfolio (wealth accumulations), or in your money or in ANY idol that you’ve set up pushing God off the throne of your life. Instead, turn to the Lord and put your full trust in the Lord Jesus Christ and in Him only.

Amen.
