WARNING!! Spiritual Famine in America! A Famine of Hearing the Words of the Lord

No Fear of God, No Knowledge of God, No Hearing His Words, No Following His Ways

“Hear the word of the LORD, ye children of Israel: for the LORD hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.” -Hos 4:1 (KJV)

These days much of the world does not have the word of God (the Bible) readily available to them and they must in some cases hide their faith and their meetings for fear of imprisonment and/or death. In other cases, they are persecuted – jailed, maimed, or killed for their belief in Christ as their Lord. Some are even crucified for their belief in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. I have heard of people in the Middle East: Syria and Iraq that have chosen and declared Jesus as their Lord even facing death and beheading (and they were) from the demonically-driven me – beasts. In South Africa, terrorists are destroying churches and killing whole villages without even blinking an eye. Tremendous torture, persecution and killing have come to our planet and it’s gaining ground. Men are killing men; people are blowing themselves up just to kill others. So the chambers of hell are ever-expanding – Isa 5:14 – to welcome them.  If you scoff at this you are not paying attention to what’s happening. Evil is advancing rapidly.

“For my people is foolish, they have not known me; they are sottish (very foolish, stupid) children, and they have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge. -Jer 4:22 (KJV) (Emphasis added)

America on the other hand is living in relative peace and safety, but chaos and confusion is growing at an alarming rate. Just look at the political turmoil in the recent election; this paints a clear picture of where Americans are at in their faith. Yet despite tons of Christian resources that are available to all – i.e. TV evangelism, book stores, Bibles-a-plenty, Internet availability, churches, it seems, on every street corner, who is seeking after God?

Who is trying to know Almighty God? Who is diligently seeking Him?

There is a tremendous spiritual war going on in the unseen realm manifesting itself in a phrase most widely used in today’s society and that is “political correctness” (PC). This evil re-engineered way of looking at life, religion, culture and people and is subtly embracing the world and is even more overtly snuffing the life out of America especially in Christian values and beliefs.

PC is a tool used by the Devil in a direct assault against God’s word, against His people, the Gospel and the Bible. It’s infecting America at a staggering rate. In our society, this poison has spread into every corner of our lives and yes, now even [covertly] has invaded our Christian churches. This has/is resulting in weak, defenseless Christians and social club churches that don’t seek God and don’t know Him. They have a form of Godliness but deny the power thereof – 2 Tim 3:5.

There exists a famine in the land of hearing the words of Christ. People don’t know their Bibles and are wide-open for every deceiving spirit that’s out there. And they are coming on strong!

FAMINE ALERT:  Churches Pass Out Koolaide instead of Real Spiritual Food!

In America the church pulpits today are soft, weak and ineffective lacking the teaching of the fundamentals of the Gospel. Christian leaders have watered down their preaching into a blend of entertainment and socialized rhetoric not even resembling what’s taught in the Bible. Grace and love are in ‘hyper-drive’ in these churches and for the most part, preachers deliver a carefully designed PC Gospel – easy to hear, funny, not convicting, non-engaging, and totally oriented for the culture in which we live. Traditional teachings of the Gospel are absent and jettisoned from their thinking – i.e. sin, repentance, Godly sorrow, hell, heaven, holiness, etc. You see these soft-touch pastors and elders don’t want to offend their flocks with the truth presented in scripture, so they butter-coat hard truths for (in some cases) personal gain. The result has produced “Christians” who don’t know Almighty God, with almost no desire to know God and don’t know the truths presented in the Bible. Our houses of worship have become houses of entertainment and fun.

“Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:” -Amos 8:11 (KJV)

They don’t know about the Lord and I dare say most don’t have a personal relationship with Him. Churches teach all around the knowledge of God – they have embraced post-modernism in their houses of worship. Distorted and dysfunctional interpretations of what the Bible plainly says are in abundant array.

They value emotional experiences over real faith-based reason and truth. Christian principles are twisted to sound pretty, non-engaging and not offensive.

Most go to church like going to play a round of golf. Play the game (sit in the pews and listen) then talk about all the ‘other’ non-God stuff afterward (drinks – coffee and donuts in the clubhouse). Then most are off to their favorite luncheon establishment with God left out.

Biblical theology and doctrine have drifted into a liberalistic array of Biblical interpretation and teaching. In other words, We think we know better than God. We think we know how to present the Gospel in a better way than the Bible presents it. How utterly foolish! In essence, we have moved away from God: we do not seek Him, we don’t read His word daily, we have little if no fear of Him, and we do not tremble at His word. That being said, we are in a serious famine – not a famine of thirst or bread but of hearing His true wordsHow tragic!

Deaf, Blind and Dull

For decades now the church and Christians have morphed into people who are spiritually deaf and blind and who cannot hear the true words of God. We have become dull and our eyes dim. Friends, we are spiritually starving ourselves to death. But … who sees this? Who can fathom how far Christians have wandered away from the Lord? Heck, we don’t even like regularly reading our Bibles and most of the time we don’t engage in serious prayer. Moreover, we don’t even like talking about God when gathered together. And who these days actually brings their Bible to church and opens it to read it or follow along with the scripture readings, if any are presented?

Can you see how we have drifted away from Him? But you know, He is always there with His outstretched arm waiting for us to return. Where are you at today? With Him, knowing Him, feeding on His word (1Pet 1:18-21)? Do you fear Him, do you tremble at His word (Isa 66:2)? Folks, the bottom line here is – do you really want to know Him … today?

Reassess, Reevaluate and Return to the Lord

Please, today, reassess your life, re-evaluate where you stand in and with the Lord while all the while reading His word – daily. Don’t miss a day, don’t procrastinate, don’t make excuses, and please don’t leave it till the end of the day when you and your eyelids are heavy and ready for sleep. Don’t count on other men/women to feed you His word; I plead with you to dust off your Bible and start reading it wholeheartedly and get to know Him now, today!

“For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings” -Hos 6:6 (KJV)

“Thus saith the Lord, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: 24- But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the Lord which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the Lord.” -Jer 9:24-25 (KJV)

“For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.” -Matt 13:15 (KJV)

LAST DAYS WARNING SIGNS: Lawlessness, Hate, Cold Love, Betrayal Among People

It’s Happening All Over The Earth Now!

“And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. 12- And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. 13- But the one who endures to the end will be saved.” -Matt 24:11-13 (ESV)

In America political insanity is off the charts! One such clear and present indicator of this is the drive to Defund the Police which is mainly driven by crazed out-of-their-mind Democrats. I can’t believe what I am hearing them say and other states are actually doing. In other words, there is a movement, a push, a concentrated effort to promote lawlessness in America. Now this is absolute double-downed insanity!

We are seeing the very warning sign that Jesus said would happen in the last days prior to His return and that would start the birth pains of horrendous times ahead. And folks, we are seeing these signs clearly now and (IMO) we are on final approach to the Tribulation prophesied in the Old and New Testaments. Jesus foretold the things that are right in front of us now, but who is seeing them and who is preparing their mind, their heart and their soul?

“Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or, ‘Look, He is there!’ do not believe it. 22- For false christs and false prophets will rise and show signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. 23- But take heed; see, I have told you all things beforehand.” -Mark 13:21-23 (NKJV)

Satan and his minions are at work firing fiery darts of hate, betrayal, false prophets, lies, deceit rapidly into the minds of Godless men and women. They are prime targets and he is exploiting them to the max. If you have swept your house clean of God (Luke 11:25), His ways, His word, His life, then you also are open to these attacks and let me tell the end result of his schemes are to destroy you – John 10:10. Please friends, take heed and focus in on what’s playing out now all around us in America and the rest of the world. If you only listen to the MSM for news and information you will most likely be deceived into thinking it’s not that bad.

Hate is another growing sign that the final days are upon us (i.e. another one of Satan’s tools to destroy us). People are killing people just for the sake of killing them… that’s madness. Stone cold love is a warning sign to watch out for as the days get even darker. Sadly, those dark days are rapidly taking shape and people seemingly don’t like or even love their fellow man anymore. We see it all over and read about it in alternate media. Governments are even asking their citizens to spy on their neighbors and report them if they have extensive parties and too many visitors over, etc. This is a form of betrayal but it’s what it will morph into that is alarming… Could it be that people will be given incentive to “rat”  on their friends and neighbors if they know they are Christians or have Bible studies, etc? I think, yes, this is coming.

Friends, please keep watch on what’s happening around you. Read your Bible so as to know what lies ahead and thereby prepare for it for now is the time. The same goes if you are not saved today. Please read Romans 10:9-13 and proclaim Christ as your Lord, confess and repent of your sins and follow Him.

Reflection…: in the tragic condo collapse in Florida how may of those precious souls were saved? How much time did they have to decide then and then to accept the Lord as their Savior? Probably not much and so where is their soul today?

This is a critical event that should make all of us look within and decide on a new spiritual path to Jesus Christ now, today.

Get saved today!

“Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: 36- Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. 37- And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.” -Mark 13:35-37 (KJV)

“Except You Repent, You Shall Likewise Perish”.

Repent or Perish – There Are No Other Options For Eternal LIfe

This will not be a flowery or candy-coated message today. It will not be filled with pretty words. It is not a self-esteem message. It will not be laced with any comedy. This will not be a message that makes you feel good about yourself. But it will paint the Biblical way to enter God’s Kingdom when our lives are through here on earth. It will be is God’s whole truth and right from Scripture. Please read to the end and then reassess where you are at with Almighty God. Pray and seek His wisdom. Read the Scriptures and verify what I am saying is the Gospel truth – Acts 17:11 – be a Berean. These words of Scripture are the bottom-line of salvation and eternal life.

Let me start out with the Christian bottom-line. “Repent or perish”. Now, these is not my words, these are from Jesus Himself. From the Gospel of Luke …

“And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things? 3- I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.” -Luke 13:2,3 (KJV)

He wasn’t talking about a certain class of people or culture or even geographical region but of people that were Pilate perhaps wrongfully executed. Jesus didn’t comment on anything else other than if they repented before leaving this earth. If so, they were to be in Glory, if not, perish to the waiting room of hell!

Bring this down-home to our day … repentance is a doctrine that is almost extinct in most Christian churches today. It’s something pastors rarely preach, and people don’t even like to discuss much less practice. It’s essential and a requirement established by Jesus and found throughout the Old and New Testaments. This is a requirement to enter His Kingdom, and there are no exceptions!

The fact that Jesus’ first sermon was on repentance – Matt 4:17 – should underline its importance to every born-again believer in Christ as their Lord

In fact, John the Baptist came preaching repentance – Matt 3:2; Mark 1:15

Many think that salvation is linked to a one-time casual prayer in which you invite Christ into your heart and poof you’re a Christian. Many Bible experts and prophecy teachers preach and teach this but it is not found in Scripture!  Please read Romans 10:9-13 – this is what God says you must do to become born-again and saved.

The doctrine of Biblical repentance then – the act of turning away from one’s sin (a u-turn in attitude and behavior) and back to God – is a foundational Biblical doctrine that CANNOT be swept under the carpet, marginalized or minimized. No excuses will be accepted.

There are very few preachers who are willing to preach this convicting doctrine for fear of losing their “pew-paying patrons”.  (I went to a local “Christian” church for 12 years hearing little about sin, hell, repentance, or Godly sorrow. There were extremely rare altar calls and invitations for salvation – very pathetic.) In omitting this key doctrine they are, in fact, preaching as the Pharisees did and preventing others from entering the Kingdom of God – Matt 23:13. These types of pastors, preachers and/or teachers are nothing but pure cowards and will face a stricter judgment – James 3:1.

“But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.” -Matt 23:13 (KJV)

It is essential that every preacher/teacher who is truly and firmly committed to teaching Scripture MUST preach repentance. We should follow what Paul says in Acts 20:27 and declare (preach/teach) the full counsel of God.

Without a doubt then, repentance is a key theme throughout the Old and New Testaments and a key part of the Gospels. It CANNOT be ignored!

What is it then? Repentance is a turning away from your sin – making a U-turn, if you will, from the words, attitudes, thoughts or actions that cause you to sin. A change of mind that promotes action on our part. i.e. If you lust with your eyes, then quit lusting, confess it and make a commitment to turn your eyes from doing it again and be serious about this change. It is a Biblical practice spoken of often in both testaments. Luke 13:3, 5, says unless you repent you will perish. This underlines its importance in our own Christian lives. God is serious about this, He doesn’t joke around nor play games – Nahum 1:1-15, John 9:31.

“There were present at that season some that told him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. 2- And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things? 3- I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. 4- Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem? 5- I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.” -Luke 13:1-5 (KJV)

Scriptures emphasize and underline the importance of repentance because it is necessary for changing our attitudes and our life. We must be willing to change otherwise God is not willing to forgive our sins according to scripture.  Some other scriptural examples of the Lord forgiving us if and when we repent are found in Ezekiel 33:10-20, Isaiah 55:6-7, Jeremiah 6:16-30 & 26:3, Acts 3:19.

You see, confessing your sin is only part of the requirement for receiving God’s forgiveness. 2 Peter 3:9, says that God doesn’t want anyone to perish but all to come to repentance. And Acts 3:19 states Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord” Acts 8:22 further says, Repent therefore of this your wickedness, and pray God if perhaps the thought of your heart may be forgiven you

So we can see then that seeking God’s forgiveness for our sin requires that we confess and repent – actively deciding to turn away from committing it again. In this way, Jesus sees the attitude of our hearts to actually mean what we say in confessing our sins.

Repentance example: Even King David confessed his sin with Bathsheba and repented of it as written in Psalm 51.

Repentance – the Old and New Testaments echo this as the main theme, after salvation. Read what Proverbs says about those that hate the knowledge of God and don’t fear the Lord. This can be equated to a disregard of His word as written in the Bible, no confession of sin, no repentance of your sin, no fear of God, living an unholy life, etc.

“Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me: 29- For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the Lord:” – Prov 1:28-29 (KJV)

So I interpret this to mean that in our Christian walk before He will even hear our prayers we are required to confess our sin and repent of it as often as needed (for me personally, this is daily). We are also to read and seek knowledge of His law and commands written in the Scriptures. And we are to walk in the fear of the Lord – Acts 9:31; Deut 10:12. Hard and tough words, I know, but ultimately the truth. Understand that repentance is not a one-time thing, it is part of our daily walk with our Lord, our Savior, and our God. Psalm 66:18, Prov 28:9, Isa 1:10-15
