Bible Prophecy Commentary – Is the Cursing Hand of God Upon America?
One has just to look at the weather patterns gripping America this winter and for that matter the past few winters and summers. We have experienced excruciating cold and mounting mountains of snow across our land. But why? Why is extreme weather becoming more extreme here in the US? Have we crossed a line with Almighty God in our treatment of Israel? Has our pride and arrogance caused us to see more than He sees? Are we becoming more of a heathen nation than one who follows and esteems Almighty God? Have we lost our way and shunned Him making our own decisions and doing our own thing? Folks, read the articles above and observe how our nation now views the leaders of Israel. I would say with contempt and ungodly arrogance. Understand that Almighty God, Jehovah God, Yahweh God will not be mocked – Gal 6:7.
To make matters worse, we are trying to make a deal with the same people and nation that wants Americans DEAD – Iran!! Are you kidding me? What is going on? How can we even sit at the same table and negotiate anything with the same regime that wants to exterminate us (and Israel) and have so said many, many times? And on top of all this we have now all but turned our backs on Israel. Oh yes, the official 'support' rhetoric is there but where is the diplomatic support – the strong ties of, "Yes, I've got your back under all circumstances and situations"? And will we really be there if and when the missiles, bombs and bullets start flying?
"And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed." -gen 12:3 (KJV)
Looking at this from a Biblical perspective – it is this author's belief that we are now under a curse from God since we have not maintained clear and solid ties with our greatest ally in the Middle East or for that matter the world. God is not kidding on this – Gen 12:3. We should be standing alongside Israel in their fears of the totalitarian – oppressive and tyrannical – Iranian leaders that have provoked them through endless terror both covertly and overtly and has called for their annihilation over and over again. And yet even while at this negotiating table for a twisted and dysfunctional nuke deal, Iran is deriding and insulting us by destroying a mock US carrier in the Persian Gulf. Folks, something is desperately wrong here. We have and are experiencing Isa 5:19-20 – right is wrong and wrong is right, good is evil and evil is good. Friends the "woes" are coming our way, IMO, fast!
Please seek the Lord and pray for this nation and our leaders for deceit and deception are making clear inroads into thinking what is right and wrong for this nation and Israel and for the world.
