Bible Prophecy Commentary:  Drought in the US –

The Lord God Almighty is a jealous God (Ex 34:14) and does not mess around with continued unfaithfulness, rejection and rebellion. Sometimes, as He did in the Old Testament (OT) He sends remedial judgments or warnings to a nation to urge them to turn back to Him. I firmly believe that this is what is happening in the western half of the U.S. and the catastrophic drought now being experienced. He is sending America a wake up call to return to Him. Read the scriptures from the OT prophet Amos below.

Let’s not forget about God’s judgment of drought against King Ahab in 1 Kings 17:1. Ahab was one of the worst kings of Israel and extremely wicked. He did the things that angered the Lord. Do we see much difference today with the leaders of the U.S.?

Some might say I am assuming a lot, interpreting scripture incorrectly and blowing this drought thing out of proportion since something like it has happened before but am I really? Remember, God’s ways are not our ways and His thoughts not our thoughts – Isa 55:8-9 – and He does what He wants for His purposes. I personally feel that the “extreme weather” the US has experienced since 1991 has been a direct results of its policies concerning Israel and the its growing rejection of Almighty God across our land (the U.S.). The Lord has and is sending us warnings via the weather but it seems we are not heeding them. What will be next?

Keep alert, keep watch, keep your eyes open and pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

Is God Sending Us Warnings to Return to Him!

“And I also have given you cleanness of teeth in all your cities, and want of bread in all your places: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.
7- And also I have withholden the rain from you, when there were yet three months to the harvest: and I caused it to rain upon one city, and caused it not to rain upon another city: one piece was rained upon, and the piece whereupon it rained not withered.
8- So two or three cities wandered unto one city, to drink water; but they were not satisfied: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.
