Bible Prophecy Commentary – The Land Mourns and is Being Destroyed:
Originally, God created this earth as a paradise of His glory. Mankind disobeyed Him and sin entered the world. Since then we have been destroying the earth little by little but now, we have picked up the pace as evidenced by rampant deterioration of earth’s resources. Through gross and immoral sin that has caused us to create such catastrophes as a lust for more power and wealth including nuclear power, we are now reaping the devastating results that have occurred through the establishment of this technology. We are destroying the earth.
“Hear the word of the LORD, ye children of Israel: for the LORD hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land. By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery, they break out, and blood toucheth blood. Therefore shall the land mourn, and every one that dwelleth therein shall languish, with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven; yea, the fishes of the sea also shall be taken away.” -Hosea 4:1-3 (KJV)
We have turned our back on God and decided to do things our way with our plans in mind. We have rejected Him and His word. We are now reaping the results. The land is mourning all over the earth because we have abused His creation.
Keep alert, keep watch, keep your eyes on Israel and keep in prayer.
