Bible Prophecy Commentary – Rising Food Prices:

As I’ve written and alerted several times before in previous posts, the food and economic crises are coming. Wake up people it is coming – including the U.S.!

“And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nighWatch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.” -Luke 21:28, 36 (KJV)

THIRD SEAL, BLACK HORSE: ECONOMIC WOES – FOOD PRICES!

“And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.”  -Rev 6:5-6 (KJV)

Drought Worsens in Western U.S.: Is God Sending Us Warnings?

Bible Prophecy Commentary – Droughts: Warning Shots from God?

Seven states are facing this extreme drought and it will affect the economy of the US. But why is this happening? Global warming? I don’t think so. Status quo or normal weather? No. Warnings from Almighty God? Very, very possible.

Friends, stark and alarming events are affecting the US. And those events, manifested in nature, are the consequences of unrepentant sin;  this nation has rejected and ejected Almighty God from their midst across almost all fronts – social, spiritual, political and financial. Besides tremendous spiritual battles going on we now have physical events occurring in nature smashing records with devastating consequences.

Amos was a fiery and fearless preacher, a common man, called to deliver God’s messages to the rebellious, complacent and obstinate people of ancient Israel. Israel needed to repent of their sin and turn back to God. They didn’t so God sent judgments upon them to try and get them to understand and turn them back to Him. You see God doesn’t play games, fool around or tolerate sin. His anger is aroused and will flare up with persistent unfaithfulness and rejection. So it did upon ancient Israel in five forms (Amos 4:6-11):

  1. Famine
  2. Drought
  3. Plant diseases and insects to their crops
  4. Wars and plagues
  5. Destruction as like Sodom and Gomorrah

It is my opinion that God has brought and now is increasing the US drought but is anyone attentive to His warnings? Is anyone listening to His call for repentance? Is there a return to holiness? Is there a return to living righteously before the Living and Mighty God? I think not. However, the drought/s are worsening and our grocery bills are going up and up. Where is all this leading? Perilous times, last days, the days preceding His second coming as prophesied in Scripture! The Black horse of Rev 6 brings food scarcity and economic failure to the world and the US will be no exception. Is this happening now? Looks like it… but what’s your assessment?

If you haven’t heeded His call for confession of your sin and repentance then now is the time. If you haven’t noticed, the world is getting sicker and sicker, more wars, more unrest, more hate and more Godlessness. Sin’s consequences are reaping the fruits of corruption, evil, wickedness and lawlessness. Now is the time to get right with God. He is long-suffering but He also has limits and will not tolerate this forever. His wrath is coming as the Book of Revelation describes in vivid detail. Call on Him today!

Another OT example

Remember the story of Nineveh and Jonah? Jonah preached to them and they repented and the Lord’s fierce anger of  destruction was turned away – Jonah 3:5-10. Then 100 years later here comes Nahum, a prophet of God, speaking to Nineveh again as they fell back into much sin and were worst than before – a very wicked city. This time the king and people told Nahum to ‘get lost’ as they would have none of his talk. They wanted to live life their. See any difference in America today? The result: the city was destroyed some 50 years later. God did give them enough time to turn around and repent but they would have nothing to do with it. But just so you can see how God dealt with ancient Nineveh the capital of Assyria, at that time, here are the ways He shows Himself against the wicked.  Nahum 1:1-8 (KJV)

  • Whirlwinds (tornadoes)
  • Drying up the sea and rivers
  • Earthquakes, volcanoes
  • Fire
  • Floods
  • Darkness

Our God is serious, yet loving, merciful and full of grace. However, He is also just and does require  obedience to His word and total dedication to His will. Remember, our hope is in His Son – Jesus Christ. He offers a free gift of salvation to all who will call upon His name. But … we must call.

See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven: Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven. And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: For our God is a consuming fire.” -Heb 12:25-29 (KJV)

PERILOUS TIMES IN THE LAST DAYS!

“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,  Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,  Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;  Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. -2 Tim 3:1-5 (KJV)

The Righteous and the Wicked

Which one are you?

“Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.” -Mal 3:18 (KJV)

Many people today view the Lord God Almighty as an indulgent heavenly grandfather that is impervious to their actions and pretty much approves of all they do. Many take for granted His mercy, grace, and love and think these are the only characteristics of our God. Many think His love is boundless and limitless and will reward all for their ‘goodness’ opening the gates of heaven to all who just live a good life. Many feel and act like there are no consequences for their sin for they have not been taught the real Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Even our clergy hides the truth and shuts up the Kingdom of God from the masses. This is absolutely not the truth found in His word, in scripture. Many preachers today do not preach the truth found in the doctrine of the godliness of the Lord (1 Tim 6:3-5), and, in fact, they are preaching a false doctrine and therefore a false Gospel. Yes, I know, hard words but nevertheless the truth. Read God’s word yourself and find out what He says (i.e. Jer 7).

According to the Word of God – the Bible – there are just two kinds of people in God’s eyes, just two represented in scripture:  the righteous and the wicked (ungodly), the saved and the unsaved, the sheep and the goats, the tares and the wheat (Mat 13:24-30). Make no mistake that you are in one camp or the other and cannot be in both or sitting on the fence. If you are righteous you are so by being saved – born again through the shed blood of Christ on the cross of Calvary. The wicked are all others. Yes, that is correct!  God sees us as righteous through belief in His Son or wicked in unbelief. The righteous person should flee any advice/counsel from the wicked and should not stand along side the ungodly. The way of the righteous person is 100% opposite that of the [wicked] mockers and scoffers of Biblical truth found in teaching prophecy and godliness. These are sobering, solemn, and tough truths and these are God’s words, these are His declarations, not mine.

“Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. … For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish” -Psa 1:1-6 (KJV)

You will seldom hear this message in church because most modern day preachers are afraid to tell people the truth, they are afraid to offend with God’s truth, from His word. Hence, many people do not know that they are either living a righteous life, one of daily confessing and repentance of their sin, or living as a wicked, ungodly person who has claimed friendship with this world and therefore has become an enemy of God (James 4:4). Yes, I know these are words that are in the Bible but rarely uttered for fear of making people ‘feel’ bad or negative. Jesus offended many many times and He made people feel bad because they were wrapped up in their sin. Folks, it’s time to awaken and know that when your name is called into eternity you will either stand with the Lord and be ushered into His rest (heaven) or be cast away into Hades, the waiting room before the Great White Throne judgment yet to come (Rev 20:11-15),  a judgment with a final destination of hell.

God views us today as either being righteous or wicked and not something in-between. We cannot fool Him. We have to realize this truth even though it is hard to swallow. You see God gets sick and will vomit those that are lukewarm (Rev 3:14-22) out of His mouth. Friends, please take these words to heart and realize that this is the truth of the Gospel and it’s time that we daily examine ourselves to see if we are of the faith. It’s time that we spend time with God, our Creator, and really get to know Him so our lives can be a reflection of His love and truth. So we can know His ways and not traditions of men. And … the best way to know Him is to read His word and pray, everyday.

This has been a tough-love message but I have felt compelled to write it. There are many who will scoff at these words but you see I care more about human souls than patronizing men (Gal 1:10). If this Holy Spirit-inspired message helps someone realize the truth from the myriad of deceptions prevalent in our Christian world today and helps them walk in truth and freedom with Christ then it has been ultimately worthwhile. Seek Him people!

“Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?” 2 Cor 13:5 (KJV)
