Bible Prophecy Commentary – The Land is Mourning:

The Old Testament is rife with the results of what consistent and unrepentant sin brought. Also, what befell a land that continued to reject and disobey Yahweh God. Hos 4:3; Jer 23:10; Joel 1:10 and others tell of the sin that had infected the land and what the consequences were at that time. Now sin could be reaching it's full point in the Lord's eyes (Gen 15:16; 1 Th 2:16) as the land again is mourning all over the world. Earthquakes get bigger and more destructive, extreme weather getting even more extreme, tornadoes wreaking havoc in America, floods devastating the land, famine hitting third world nations hard, crop loss, droughts especially in the Western US, sinkholes opening up everywhere, global financial markets on the verge of unprecedented collapse, animals dying in massive numbers and the list goes on and on.

Folks, all this means something and that something is that the Lord's return could be very near. And the rapture of the bride (Eph 5:25-27) or church even closer. But who's ready? Who even pays attention to these things. Who is listening and who is watching? In other words, who cares? These things aren't even being preached in our modern highly technical 'Christian' churches and this in itself is a tragedy. Too many people have their focus on worldly matters and secular things instead of on the Lord, His word and Bible Prophecy. In Noah's time, the flood came swiftly and destroyed the wicked – only 8 people out of millions were saved. In Lot's time (Sodom and Gomorrah) fire and brimstone was quick and decisive killing perhaps thousands for their disobedient, blatant and perverted sexual sin – only 4 people (really only 3 as Lot's wife disobeyed and looked back – Gen 19:26) were saved. Please think about these things carefully and reverently.

Bottom line – prophesied last days events are occurring as the Bible states they will. The signs Jesus told us to look for have been increasing since the fig tree budded (Israel- 1948; Matt 24:32-35). Time to wake up people and reassess/reevaluate your lifestyle and where you stand with Almighty God (not Allah). Do you stand with Him and have confessed and repented of your sin accepting His Son as your Lord and Savior (Rom 10:9-10) or do you stand against Him in your arrogance and ignorance, mocking and disdain (Matt 12:30)? 

"And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh … Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man." -Luke 21:28, 36 (KJV)
