Bible Prophecy Commentary – Is God's Wrath Near?
Yes, absolutely and without question this is a very startling thought but is it wrong? Weigh the evidence, then examine what the Word of God (Bible) has to say about this. If you think I am wrong then please try and disprove what I am saying!
The world and its deep sin and rejection of God's only Son – Jesus Christ is on a collision course with Almighty God's wrath which could start sooner than anyone wants to think. Just examine the articles I've included above and there are many, many more sobering and horrific events occurring across the globe. And … it's getting worst. But who sees it and who bumps it up against Bible Prophecy? Certainly not many of our Christian leaders in and out of church.
According to the Bible God's wrath is on those that don't' know Him (Rom 1:18) and His wrath is coming in massive amounts in the near future -2 Thess 1:8. The world is experiencing mounting wars and tensions, destruction, unprecedented weather, drought, floods of Biblical proportions, famine, massive snow falls, destructive hurricanes and typhoons, tornadoes in the US that are huge, and this list goes on. But who is seeing it and who knows what it might mean? Is God sending us warning messages in the form of global unrest and the roaring of the weather to get our attention? I dare say Yes, He is! But who is paying attention?
People not involved in these horrendous calamities are, it seems, impervious to what is happening all around them. They think well, it's just 'kinda' normal – maybe it is God speaking to us and then maybe He is not. In my opinion, that's an uneducated (in Biblical knowledge) and apathetic viewpoint. Imagine if the people of Noah's day really examined why Noah was building the Ark or why God was ready to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah. We need to be Biblically literate now more than ever and we need to know what He is saying to us in His word. The OT is and example for us – in that we must learn from what the ancients did and God's response – Rom 15:4; 1 Cor 10:11. Friends, know your Bible and know Almighty God. This is how He speaks to us. If you don't read your Bible then you do not want to know God and His Son. Pray folks, fast and seek His face – I think now is the time more than ever before.
