Bible Prophecy Commentary: A Gloomy Road Ahead – Are You Ready?
Author Michael Snyder spells it out plainly in his article above – see and read … please! We have had three Blood Moons so far and one total solar eclipse. The last Blood Moon is on Sept 28 – on Sukkot – the Feast of Tabernacles. This is a Shemitah year and Elul 29 is coming up on Sunday, Sept 13 – the same day as another solar eclipse – Rosh Hashanah (New Year) or the Feast of Trumpets. BTW, since Elul 29 is on Sun and Stock Market will be closed that day – its last day to be open is Friday, Sept 11th before the last day of this Shemitah year. Significance? Could be tremendous. Are you ready? Do you even know about these things?
Personally, for the U.S. I think the decision on same-sex marriage by the Supreme Court will set the last days course for America. IMO, if they pass it, watch out for God's hand of judgment to begin or fall. All indications are that they will. Take heed, watch pray and be counted worthy to escape – see the verse below – very significant and very true. But … are you ready or are your thoughts just on routine daily living? I know many people who could care less about Bible Prophecy and what the Bible says will happen. They are not watching and they are not waiting. They are living with their heads in the sand only focused on their lives – what am I eating/drinking later, on work, what am I doing, what will I watch this evening, texting, Facebook, computing, surfing the web; in other words meaningless worldly trivial things compared to setting Christ first and foremost in our lives. Focus first on the Lord and then the other things of your life will be just that … second place – Matt 6:33.
Remember what Jesus said in Matt 24:37-39 – the days before His return would be as the days of Noah. They were very wicked, but yet filled with the concerns of only daily things and not on Him – Psa 10:4. Are your only thoughts and concerns these days just on daily living or are you thinking about and waiting for Christ's return? The times will be terrible but yet exciting for we know – those really born-again – that the time of His coming brings us closer to being with Him forever. The anticipation and expectation of His coming should not be frightening or scary or gloom and doom but be comforting to those who really know Him. To those that are truly waiting for His return. Do you know Jesus as your Lord, as your Savior from this sinful world? Do you want to be with Him in His home for eternity? I sure hope your answers are all yes!
"And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
