Bible Prophecy Commentary: Pestilences –
Zika isn't necessarily as deadly as the Ebola virus was but nevertheless it is taking its toll on children. This is no current known cure for this [Zika] virus; it continues to infect now people in several nations on different continents. Several would ask is this a Biblical last days pestilence? I would say it sure looks that way. Jesus told us in numerous places in the New Testament that there would be pestilences in the last days. BTW, dengue fever is rearing its ugly head again as well. Could some of these resemble the 10 plaques sent against Egypt in the time of Moses? Very possible. We know from Ex 8:16-32, that bugs, insects, flies invaded the land and created all kinds of problems for the Egyptians. Could this be happening again especially to those nations that have rejected Almighty God and followed after witchcraft, evil, idolatry and sexual immorality? Please consider the evidence and then you decide.
I think it wise to consider these virus strains in light of what the Bible says is coming for we know by many other Biblical signs that these are in fact the last days (Matt 24:7, Luke 21:11, Rev 6:8). The days leading up to the return of Jesus Christ the Lord. Folks, there is no way to candy-coat the perils coming to this world. It will get bad, very bad so you must be prepared in mind, body, soul and spirit. I think we can see this in the terror in the Middle East and the wars and rumors of war increasing. Natural disasters are also ramping up like never before. Global economic woes are teetering on the precipice of collapse.
Please get into your Bible and read and study it. Immerse yourself in the presence of Almighty God. Pray and seek His face … today. Get right with the Lord today.
