Bible Prophecy Commentary: Pestilences – More signs?
Recently, Ebola hit the world and has since declined but was it a warning of what's yet to come or …? Look at America in the past few years and its rebellious course against Almighty God. We have mocked Him, scoffed at Him, disobeyed His laws and the list goes on. The result: increased crime, racial riots, political circuses, a clueless Administration, making deals with our enemies, mocking God's definition of marriage, and on and on it goes.
I think people need to read their Bibles more and find out what God's take is on all this. What has He done in the past with nations that have dissed Israel and dissed Him. The results will keep you up at night for they are horrendous. Let me just say this – it is not a wise thing to go against the Lord God Almighty. He is gracious – yes, He is kind and loving – yes, He is longsuffering – yes but look out for His patience has and will run out. Reading Lev 26 (get out your Bible and read it) gives clear indications of what He has done and will do again to those that strive against Him in disobedience. Verse 25, He will send pestilence among you. Has this happened – yes. Now it hasn't produced the same results of the massive Black Death plaque that hit Europe in the 1300's but … it could if He so deemed it necessary.
Almighty God is longsuffering and doesn't not want anyone to perish (2 Pet 3:9) but now America, with it's abortion abominations recently exposed, has in my opinion reached a tipping point of possible no return. America is now ripe for God's hand of judgment to fall. How will it fall? We can't guess but we can read scripture and see what He did before. Is God sending America some small warnings to stop disobeying Him and turn back? Is He telling us to amend our ways (repent) and return to Him before it's too late? Many things are being shaken in America these days that are causing some to think what in the world is going on? Cyber hacking, abortion atrocities, lawlessness, senseless killing, terror, calling good evil and evil good, financial turmoil. Folks, please wake up and take a look around; read your Bible and seek God. Seek His Son and call out to Him in sincerity and truth.
Please think about these things clearly and soberly; give them plenty of thought. Rev 6-19 describe a time coming of judgment upon the earth never experienced by mankind in any age in the past. When will it start? This is unknown but when you view current world conditions it looks like it could be soon. Turn to God today!
