Bible Prophecy Commentary – Signs in the Sun, Moon and Stars:

"And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:" -Gen 1:14 (KJV)

According to Gen 1:14, Almighty God put the sun, moon and stars in the heavens for light and also to signal us as to His appointments with mankind. These heavenly bodies are not just around for our amusement but they instead are God's billboard to mankind. This supermoon and solar eclipse occurs on Nisan 1 (Mar 20, 2015) which is the beginning of the Jewish religious year. It also marks the exact halfway point in the Shemitah year we are currently in. And another quite amazing fact is that another eclipse of this type will not occur until 2034. That's huge in terms of the times in which we now live. Folks, for those that are looking for the Lord's return there are many signs or signals being given to us and these are lining up with holy scripture.

Prior to the Day of the Lord – a time ushering in the wrath of God – which many Bible Prophecy scholars believe will start the Tribulation, the sun will be turned into darkness and the moon to Blood – Joel 2:31; Acts 2:20. Will this solar eclipse fulfill the first part of this prophecy? Time will tell. Additionally, there is another [partial] solar eclipse on the Feast of Trumpets on Sept 13th of this year which marks the beginning of the Jewish civil year. What will this mark? Rapture? These two huge signs in the moon will not occur on important Jewish days for many, many years to come. What do these mean?

"The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge." -Psa 19:1-2 (KJV)

According to the Jewish Talmud, the combined thought of Rabbinical Judaism, which says that a solar eclipse is a bad omen for the nations of the world. It also says that a lunar eclipse (Blood Moons coming also this year) are a bad sign for Israel. With the world seemingly in great turmoil right now, these signs in the heavens may give us a clue as to what may happen. The Middle East is like a pile of very dry wood ready to ignite. Russia is becoming bolder and flexing its nuke muscles. Iran is also making inroads to nations all throughout the ME. Friends, please study your Bible and be ready for what's coming for something big is on the way. Read your Bible, learn what the Lord may be trying to tell us and/or prepare for. Learn what has happened in the past when events like the solar and lunar eclipses have occurred on the Lords feast days.  Only those that know the Lord and His word will be prepared for the rough road ahead. Do you know the Lord as your Savior? If He came today, what would you do? If He called your name into eternity today, would you be ready to meet Him?

I am not trying to be sensational or proclaiming just gloom and doom but just to warn and sound the alarm for this evil and sinful world that seems far from repenting will meet the Lord's wrath one day soon. Are you ready? Where are you at today? Remember, our only hope should be in the Lord and not in the things of this world – Psa 39:7.
