Bible Prophecy Commentary – America is Lost:
Wow! America, a once powerful nation that built the most powerful military known to man, that its foes feared, now cowers in the midst of terrible world chaos, confusion, death and destruction. And what do we do … we checkout and go play games… How absolutely tragic!
But does the nation that once stood firm for Almighty God, honored His precepts and commandments, stood by as a sentinel to its friend and closest ally Israel now deserve what is happening to it? We have to recall shat the word of God says, to whom much is given, much is required – Luke 12:48. America served as the bastion for freedom and dignity for mankind amidst tyrants and dictators for many years. We have been given much, enjoyed unprecedented freedom and established the world’s economy in a very short amount of time. But now … we are lost and can’t seem to find our way for the course of confusion, indecision, reckless internal spending chart our way and we are driven like a nation without God. We have done this to ourselves folks, we have abandoned God in our lives and in our government. One sobering question for all is – “Has God abandoned us?”
Many armchair prophecy scholars say that America is and is not found in Bible Prophecy. I too was in one of these camps but re-reading Dan 12: gives me a new perspective on what is being revealed and what will be revealed. Dan 12:4 says:
“But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.” (KJV)
Which in my interpretation says that as the days progress towards the Lord’s return – the time of the end – more will be revealed. And today more is being revealed almost by the day. Similarly, in Dan 7 we read about Daniel’s vision of the four beasts emerging from the sea. Are those nations apparent today? Do they exist right now? Perhaps but is this the time for revealing Daniel’s vision of these beasts or is it yet to come? What about America? Is it the lion (once fierce and ferocious) but now with its wings cut off, powerless and indecisive? Many questions friends and make no mistake more will follow.
Keep your eyes in the Bible and your ears listening for His trumpet blast; the rapture of the church may be closer than we think. (Side note: it is not imminent, however, as many preach). There is a time for His appointment with His bride, a time when He will call for them. This is not to be just any moment, no specific date but a season to be known by those who have studied and know their Bible. Read your Bible and know the truth.
