Bible Prophecy Commentary – Land Mourns Because of Sin:
Mankind on the earth is becoming, by the day, more and more sinful, wicked, unjust and rebellious to Almighty God. There have been several men of God that have warned for years that the Lord will judge mankind for unrepentant sin and rejection of His mercy and grace through His Son Jesus Christ.
The Bible says that the land is defiled due to sin. Considering earthquakes, hurricanes, volcanoes erupting, sinkholes, tornadoes, etc happening in greater frequency with greater intensity seems to bear this out.
“The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant.” -Isa 24:5 (KJV)
