Bible Prophecy Commentary – The Middle East:

Lots of talk, indecision, negotiation, tension and tempers seem to be flaring over Syria's use of Chemical Weapons against its own people. Attacking Syria will involve a huge cost in people and resources especially to Israel. Will America lead this then…?

I think the West is getting hung up on the legitimacy and international 'law' of the matter. So in retrospect, we have reportedly 100,000 Syrian people dead due to this dreadful 2-year plus civil war so far with no end in sight. The international community has hemmed and hawed about it with little action. Now there is, I assume, a great cause to go in and remove Assad's ability to use CW's ever again and the West stalls yet another time.

It follows a similar scenario playing out with the Iran nuclear threat. The West sees it unfolding yet resorts only to talk with little action. Soon, I suspect, Iran will reveal that it has a weapon and the delivery method and then the game will change in the ME.

What will happen in Syria is anyone's guess at this point but there are Bible Prophecies waiting fulfillment namely Isa 17 and Jer 49 concerning Damascus. Will these be fulfilled shortly … time will tell. But be advised if these prophecies kick off the entire world could be set on fire as nations come against nations and kingdoms against kingdoms – Matt 24:7. Psa 83 and Eze 38/39 prophesied wars are also waiting in the wings; Israel retaliating against Syria or Iran would attract other Arab nations and a warfronts could develop on all sides of Israel quickly. Pay attention everyone – this could get real serious and real dangerous fast!

Keep alert, keep watch, keep your eyes on Israel and keep in prayer.
