What’s in Your Focus?

“Brothers and sisters, I do not regard myself as having taken hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, 14- I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” -Phil 3:13-14 (NASB)

We live in a world now being filled with troubles, turmoil and problems on almost every level and on every side. Energy prices are soaring to unprecedented heights.  Food shortages are increasing in many areas of the world and getting more intense by the day.  Gasoline and natural gas prices are rapidly rising. Rampant inflation is out of control just about in every nation of the world. Wars are in progress or sabre-rattling between kingdoms, armies, leaders and governments. And let’s not forget the “Great Reset” created and now being deployed across the planet, brought to us by the un-elected, psychopaths, demonic men and women called the Globalists or Elitists that have an end objective to terminate most of humanity so they can live in their vision of a utopia world. We live in very, very perilous times (2 Tim 3:1-5).

And things are getting worse! The outlook for humanity doesn’t look good. Many financial experts and economists are saying it won’t get any better. You see we are seeing the results of a unrepentant world still engrossed in their sin and without Almighty God in their sight and focus.

“Therefore, since we also have such a great cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let’s rid ourselves of every obstacle and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let’s run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking only at Jesus, the originator and perfecter of the faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” -Heb 12:1-2 (NASB)

Despite all these negative and gloom and doom situations, what do we Christians focus on, put our trust in and hope on? What does our faith look like? A mighty man or woman of God or a scared, timid, weak person who cares more about their stuff, TV, bank/retirement accounts and social media activities? Where are we in the Lord? We are losing freedoms every day because of the globalists tyrannical rulers now setup leading our nation – right in our own Congress and White House. There are few that know the Lord God Almighty. One of these days we may awaken to our freedoms all but stripped from us; the Constitution is on the altar of wickedness ready to be torched by these demonic excuse for leaders. Friends, America is in big trouble and unless we pray and stand up for our freedoms and way of life, well…, we will become and face the same ungodly dictates that China is in right now. Their people are suppressed, downtrodden and at the very whim of their evil leaders.

So what do we do?

Focus on the Lord! Keep our eyes to the prize that awaits all who suffer for the Cross. Those who trust unwaveringly in the Lord. Paul said in the text Scripture above, that he looks forward to the prize of being with the Lord. Is this your focus today and will it be your focus in a week, month or year? Do you [and I] have our eyes on the prize in Christ Jesus?

If we don’t then it’s time to do some soul searching and reassess where we are at in Him. And what’s important in this life – is being a born-again Christian and walking in the Lord, following His word the number one objective/goal in your life? If not, it’s time to regroup, rethink and take action.

Trust in the Lord. Pour out your heart before Him and He will listen and answer. Pray without ceasing and increase your faith by reading His word daily. Then walk in His strength with your eyes on the prize.
