Bible Prophecy Commentary: What is This All About?, What’s Going On?

Something is very wrong! According to the experts this hurricane shouldn’t have formed. And then to go from a Cat 1 to Cat 4 in a few hundred miles. Unbelievable! Why is the weather these days off the charts? Why such strong and fierce winds in the form of hurricanes and tornadoes (whirlwinds) on the move all over, especially in the US? In the Atlantic, Pacific, Gulf of Mexico, etc.

Is God Almighty trying to tell us something? 

But what? Is this a prophetic sign of His soon return? His anger? 

“And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; ²⁶ Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.” -Luke 21:35-36 (KJV)

Let me share some scriptures with you about whirlwinds and then you can form your own opinion. It’s my opinion that the Lord is warning America to return to Him, stop the blatant sin lifestyles and repent. Since none of the hurricanes last year and this year have produced an American turnaround this could be His way of warning possibly before more severe judgment arrives. And if we don’t return to Him, many more destructive calamities will strike this nation and the world. It’s prophesied and it will come.

“The voice of thy thunder was in the heaven: the lightnings lightened the world: the earth trembled and shook.” -Psalm 77:18 (KJV)

“The Lord is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the Lordhath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.” -Nahum 1:3 (KJV)

“Behold, a whirlwind of the Lord is gone forth in fury, even a grievous whirlwind: it shall fall grievously upon the head of the wicked.” -Jeremiah 23:19 (KJV)

“Behold, the whirlwind of the Lord goeth forth with fury, a continuing whirlwind: it shall fall with pain upon the head of the wicked.” -Jeremiah 30:23 (KJV)

“Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you. ²⁴ Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded; ²⁵ But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof: ²⁶ I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh; ²⁷ When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you.  ²⁸ Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:” –Prov 1:23-31 (KJV)

We know that the Lord speaks through His creation and we better heed what He is saying. If you are a professing, Bible-believing Christian then may I suggest you get into His word ASAP and find out if what if I am saying here is scriptural or not. You decide on your own; I have already. Be ready and prepare in your heart, mind and soul to someday stand before the Lord.
