BProphecy Commentary: What is the Weather (Nature) Trying to Tell Us?
The real question should be what is Almighty God trying to tell the world?
We know in times past since it is God alone that controls the weather for good or mercy and for correction or judgment – Job 37:9-13 . Today is no different, in fact, it should be a warning sign for mankind to confess their sin and amend their ways through sincere repentance.
In times past God brought the flood upon Noah’s generation for their gross sin and wickedness. The Bible states that natural disasters are from the hand of God – Amos 3:6. We also know that God opened up the earth and swallowed the rebellious people who aligned themselves in the Korah rebellion. Get this: the earth opened up under their feet and they went alive down into Sheol or the pits of hell. Then there was the 3 days of darkness (Ex 10:21-23) God brought upon Pharaoh’s kingdom for his indifference to letting the Hebrews go being led by Moses. Then there was Jesus who calmed a stormed-raging sea of Galilee to absolute silence instantly.
From off-the-chart heat waves, to tornadoes, to hurricanes, sinkholes, earthquakes, volcanoes, to flooding of Biblical proportions we have to come to grips that something is wrong and it needs our attention and fast. Folks, God controls the weather and it is through His nature that He again sends us signs and warnings to get right with Him. Friends, this is no joke! Today’s weather patterns have gone wild and crazy and it means something.
The US and the world are being told to get right with God and perhaps do it quickly before His terrible Revelation judgments befall man. Let us reflect on the following verses from Proverbs 1 … what is this saying about what God will do to a people who shuns Him and seeks to do things their way? And this is about the weather.
Bottom-line: It’s time to get your life in line with Almighty (YAHWEH) God and His word. Confess and repent of your sins and seek His face while this world still has some assembly of peace.
“Because I have called and you refused to listen, have stretched out my hand and no one has heeded, 25- because you have ignored all my counsel and would have none of my reproof, 26- I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when terror strikes you, 27- when terror strikes you like a storm and your calamity comes like a whirlwind, when distress and anguish come upon you. 28- Then they will call upon me, but I will not answer; they will seek me diligently but will not find me. 29- Because they hated knowledge and did not choose the fear of the Lord, 30- would have none of my counsel and despised all my reproof, 31- therefore they shall eat the fruit of their way, and have their fill of their own devices.” -Prov 1:24-31 (ESV)
