Bible Prophecy Commentary: Signs in the Heavens and on Earth –

The Lord said that due to sin – no faithfulness or knowledge of God in the land, swearing, lying, adultery and much bloodshed (abortions) nations would see the land mourning and he beasts of the heavens and fish of the seas dying off. This is happening and has been for several years in mass. (Take a look here …)

But who's paying attention to all this. Are even Christians in the know for what this could mean?

"And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:" -Acts 2:19 (KJV)

Then we need to pay attention to other signs like perhaps the blood red Nile viewed from space. What are we to make of this? Remember the 10 plagues of Egypt? When God through Moses cast 10 plagues upon the land because Pharaoh refused to let the Israelites go. One of the plagues turned the Nile into blood – Ex 7:20. The Lord uses many signs to warn us to return to Him. He's done this before and will do it again.

But is anyone paying attention to what the Scriptures tell us? How about Ecc 1:9?

Folks, the hour is getting terribly late and I firmly believe nature is having, if you will, birth pains telling us of something to come. That something is the Lord Jesus Christ. Are you ready? Which set of 5 virgins do you identify with – the 5 foolish or the 5 wise? (Matt 25)

Have you been watching (Luke 21:36)? Are you prepared to meet Him (Amos 4:12)?

"Hear the word of the Lord, O children of Israel, for the Lord has a controversy with the inhabitants of the land. There is no faithfulness or steadfast love, and no knowledge of God in the land; 2- there is swearing, lying, murder, stealing, and committing adultery; they break all bounds, and bloodshed follows bloodshed. 3- Therefore the land mourns, and all who dwell in it languish, and also the beasts of the field and the birds of the heavens, and even the fish of the sea are taken away." -Hos 4:1-3 (ESV)
