Bible Prophecy Commentary – America – No Different than Ancient Nineveh or Babylon:
This is the worse of the worse! Barbaric to say the least! Do Americans really think God Almighty, the Creator of the Universe, will casually look away at this or other atrocities performed in our nation? Will He wink at this recent shameful discovery of allegedly selling aborted baby body parts? Or is His judgment coming in mass to this unrepentant, ungodly land called America? Will America's sin finally reach a tipping point? Will this nations sin be finally 'full' in the eyes of the Almighty? (Gen 15:16). Folks, this is serious and God will not overlook it. He is the same today yesterday, today and forever – Heb 13:8.
Read Jer 13-15 and see exactly what He did to a nation that rejected Him and threw Him out of their lives. Then read about ancient Nineveh and how they after Nahum's preaching did not repent and were eventually destroyed. Ancient Babylon's fate was similar. Do we think that we here in America exempt from His Hand of judgment? Do we think peace and safety rules here and we will avoid destruction just because we have churches in our cities and we are 'seemingly good' people? No! Read God's word and find out who He is – understand Him and know Him. Yes, He has much love (almost endless love) but … He also has a point at which He will no longer tolerate sin. He is also a God of massive judgment when people continually turn away from His grace and mercy. And certainly here in America we have been blessed by His mighty hand yet now we have become submerged in toxic and corrosive sin and have ejected the Lord from our lives.
"Woe to the bloody city! it is all full of lies and robbery; the prey departeth not; The noise of a whip, and the noise of the rattling of the wheels, and of the pransing horses, and of the jumping chariots.
