A Special Message from Rick Wiles

“The Lord is good.  A stronghold in the day of trouble; and He knows those who trust in Him.”

Nahum 1:7

You and I are witnessing unthinkable atrocities against our Christian brethren in the Middle East.  A diabolical spirit of madness has overtaken many people – including some in high places of power.   Powerful nations are preparing for war.  The Western banking system is teetering under a mountain of debt and fiat currencies.  Civil unrest is brewing in the USA and other nations.  Ebola has killed thousands in Africa. We now have Ebola in America and Europe! It appears that the world is on the verge of a pandemic that could rival the Bubonic Plague of the Dark Ages. Tens of millions of people could die very soon. Perhaps it was an omen that the first Ebola death in America was minutes after the Blood Moon lunar eclipse.

This is the Day of Trouble.

Who is our hope?  The ancient prophet Nahum told us: The Lord is good.  He is a stronghold in the day of trouble.  God knows the names of the people who trust in Him.

World and national events are deteriorating quickly.  It is disturbing to watch it happen.  Where do we turn for safety?

The late Dottie Rambo knew where to go.  She was a prolific writer of anointed Gospel Music songs.  One of my favorite Dottie Rambo songs is “I Go to the Rock.”

The lyrics say:

I go to The Rock for my salvation.
I go to the stone that the builders rejected.
I run to the mountain and the mountain stands by me.

When the earth all around me is sinking sand
On Christ, the Solid Rock, I stand.
When I need a shelter, when I need a friend, I go to the Rock.

Where do I hide till the storms have all passed over?
Who do I run to when the winds of sorrow threaten?
Is there a refuge in the time of tribulation?
When my soul needs consolation, I go to the Rock.

When the earth all around me is sinking sand
On Christ, the Solid Rock, I stand.
When I need a shelter, when I need a friend, I go to The Rock.

I know you share my concern about the dire turn of events in the world.  The beheading of Christians has actually begun.  God have mercy on us.  I wish I could assure you that things will get better in the world.  I believe we are witnessing Isaiah 60 unfold before our eyes.  Gross darkness shall encompass the world.

Isaiah, however, also foretold that “the Lord will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you.”

After much prayer, I made the decision to put Trunews “on the shelf” for a season.  You and I don’t need more news and information.  We already know what is happening and what it means.

Let me assure you I am not going off the air!  We are changing the name and format of our radio program, and increasing it to two-hours nightly.  The new name is “The Communion.”  Yes, I will continue to talk about current End-Time events – but we will not devote all of our time to the news.  Instead, there will be group discussions, Bible teaching, preaching, worship and praise, and Holy Communion every night.

I’ve been “on the wall” as a watchman for 16 years.  The Holy Spirit is telling me, “Come down from the wall and take shelter….The storm is quickly approaching.”

As Dottie Rambo sang, “When I need a shelter….I go to the Rock.”

My dear friend, it is time you and I enter the storm shelter.  Seven lean years will soon be upon us.  We must feast upon the Body and Blood of our Lord and Savior to sustain us through the lean years.

I too have to fight off feelings of despair and worry.  Lately the Holy Spirit has been leading me to Psalm 33: 18-19.

“Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him.  On those who hope in His mercy, to deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.”
The goal is to launch “The Communion” radio program in November.  Our small, lean staff will have to accomplish a lot to get it ready.  A new website must be built, audio components of the program such as new opening music must be arranged and recorded, new equipment must be purchased and installed, and the right guests must be invited.

During the transition, I will eliminate the daily news headlines in the opening segment of the program.  Likewise, I will eliminate interviewing secular guests about specific topics.  Both devour much of my daily schedule in preparation for the program.

I started down this path in late fall 2013, but my wife Susan was stricken was a severe autoimmune disorder.  I had to put all plans on hold while I tended to her.  Thank God, she has sufficiently recovered to a point that I can move on with these changes to the ministry.  Susan and I are grateful for your prayers and support throughout this difficult time for us.  Now it’s time to move on with the new direction God has given us.

The End of the Age is coming…but there is much more that must happen.  As gross darkness encompasses the world, God’s glorious light will shine upon the people who trust Him.  The Gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached in all the world…then shall the end come.

You and I must remain committed to the work God gave us to do in His name no matter what is happening in the world around us.  We must stay calm and carry on.

Is there a refuge in the time of tribulation?  Yes! Go to Christ, the Solid Rock!

Sincerely,

Rick Wiles

PERILOUS TIMES IN THE LAST DAYS!

“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,  Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,  Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;  Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. -2 Tim 3:1-5 (KJV)
