Bible Prophecy Commentary – Signs in the Heavens:
In the last days, before Christ’s return to the earth, the signs in the heavens will increase and people will begin to know something is up … or vastly wrong. In 1859, there was a powerful geomagnetic solar storm called the Carrington Event, that took out telegraphs in Europe and America. At that time that was one of the widest forms of communication methods around. What if a similar solar storm or flare hit the earth today? What kind of havoc would it create?
Imagine all communications systems damaged or knocked out. A majority of electrical power systems burned up. What would we do for: water distribution, power, refrigeration, communications, phones, information dissemination and the list goes on. What would you do?
As I’ve written before there will be much fear in the days ahead. As the verse states below – men’s hearts will fail them for the fear coming upon mankind. Their hearts will “fail them”! This is not an easy statement to gloss over or even get by. It will be huge and we must come to grips with it. But these words are not meant to scare but instead these are words given to us so we can prepare. Prepare your hearts and minds for our Lord’s return. The Lord is giving all of mankind much time to turn/return to Him in sincerity and truth for He doesn’t want any to perish but all to come to everlasting life through repentance- 2 Pet 3:9. Please consider the times we are living in and the condition of your soul. Are you saved?
