Bible Prophecy Commentary – Is God Warning America …?

Many times in the OT God sent weather phenomena to warn and bring judgment on ancient Israel because they refused to return to Him – Amos 4. He brought the whirlwind in Nahum 1:3. Look at what happened to the people of Noah’s time – mega severe weather!

What I am saying is a very real possibility; God, I believe, is giving us many signs in nature to help us to see the gross sickness of our sin, especially here in the US and He is giving us unbelievable time to repent. But … who’s repenting? Are our Christian churches even teaching this?

We have been given so much and blessed so abundantly in only about 230 years and as such He will demand much from us – Luke 12:48. However, instead of admitting our sin before an Almighty God we ‘diss’ Him, stiff-arm Him, flaunt our pride before Him, and focus our greed and lust after our idols. We are no better than ancient Israel was and in terms of sexual perversion and immorality, no better than Sodom and Gomorrah. Just look at the gross errors committed by medical workers, authorities and our government in taking action over the recent Ebola cases here in America. This should not have been but IMO, because we have continued to turn our backs on God, we have reaped this calamity. And unless we do a 2 Chron 7:13-14, we will reap even more.

Bottom line: where is our cry out to God to help us in this potential crisis? Where are our Christian and government leaders sounding the trumpet over America’s failings and calling for national and individual prayer, confession and repentance? I watch and read tons of news reports and haven’t heard even one suggest this. How tragic.

“And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh … Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.” -Luke 21:28, 36 (KJV)

Keep alert, keep watch, keep your eyes on Israel and keep in prayer.
