Bible Prophecy Commentary – Spiritual Warfare: Deception:

Please read the articles linked above. You see deception in the last days will grow – covertly, in most cases – faster and faster. Today people are falling away from the church; apostasy is growing and people flat-out do not read their Bibles for understanding. Satan is deceiving people through their own technology steeped in pleasure and lust. Just as Eve was cunningly deceived in the Garden of Eden so are many today falling for all kinds of teachings and doctrines. This will get worse as more people deny and reject Almighty God. Satan has had thousands of years to perfect his deceptive methods and he knows how to deceive people.

“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;” -1 Tim 4:1-2 (KJV)

Nowadays our Christian churches teach little about how not to be deceived. They don’t even relate the importance of sin and repentance in a Christian’s walk. They spend little time preaching on who God really is and His character. The salvation message given to us by Christ’s shed blood on the cross is rarely mentioned. And they almost never mention hell and how one will go there or what it will be like.

Too many modern-day preachers are concerned more about their programs that resemble corporate initiatives that for the most part are wrapped up in big words and fancy or catchy concepts than they are about human souls.

How Biblically pathetic! Christians today need to know how to wield the spiritual weapons we have available in Jesus Christ and through His Holy Spirit. People need to know how to fight with these weapons using the word of God and with their faith. The days are coming that will shake a person’s faith to the core and are the people in the pews ready? Absolutely not! Also, little if anything is taught on Bible Prophecy warning their congregations of the perils that are coming to this sinful, rebellious world. Is it any wonder that the enemy of our souls is making significant inroads into our minds, thoughts and actions.

As steadfast born-again Christians we must continue to pray, fast and seek the Lord’s face daily. We must tear down strongholds that are setup against us (i.e. hate, fear, worry, guilt, shame, unbelief, violence, etc) – 2 Cor 10:4. We must don the full armor of God daily (Eph 6) ready to do spiritual battle with this adversary in high places. We must continually rely on Jesus Christ our Savior, Lord and Redeemer to increase our faith and trust in Him at all times. Seek the Lord folks will He may be found. Amen.

Keep alert, keep watch, keep your eyes on Israel and keep in prayer.
