And the tensions continue to grow but to what end? We know that Russia is getting bolder by the day and they are not backing down to the sanctions implemented by the West. IMO, they will never back down, Russia doesn’t seem to play games, they are serious. And now they have shut off comm with the U.S. This is dramatic and serious or so it seems.
So what’s behind all this commotion in this geopolitical chess match? Spiritual forces in high places! All throughout the Middle East and now Russia, the nations are being stirred up. This reminds me of the scripture found in Daniel 7:2-3, where the four winds of heaven stirred up the ‘great sea’. The four winds are likely angelic spiritual forces of God fulfilling His will and plan. The great sea is likely the nations surrounding the Mediterranean Sea, now including the land of Gog/Magog. Also note that economic pressures are building all over the globe and this crisis is adding fuel to the fire.
“Daniel spake and said, I saw in my vision by night, and, behold, the four winds of the heaven strove upon the great sea. And four great beasts came up from the sea, diverse one from another.” -Dan 7:2-3 (KJV)
Folks, I believe this could escalate into something very serious for mankind or at least the start of end time conflicts, wars and rumors of war. Recall that Rev 6:3-4, describes a ‘great sword’. Is this great sword a metaphor for a great weapon like a nuclear weapon, nuclear exchange or something thereof? I personally think it is. But when … this is unknown to mankind but to God all things are known as He knows the end from the beginning (Isa 46:10)
What will be the end? Will things get better? The last days before Christ’s return will be terrible and filled with wickedness, lawlessness, evil, and violence. Why? SIN! It is imperative that you find hope (the only hope) in our Blessed Hope (Titus 2:13) Jesus Christ, for He is our Rock and will save us from the hour of trial yet to come to this planet. But you must seek Him, call on His name, confess your sins and repent (Rom 10:9-13). Do this today.
Keep alert, keep watch, keep your eyes on Israel. A little time on your knees in prayer always helps.
