My Bible Prophecy Commentary: Wildfires and Floods – Sin and Judgment:
Why so much destruction, chaos, and desperation across the US? Most of America has shunned God and told Him that they don’t need Him anymore. We have turned to our own strength, our own pleasures, our own wisdom, and lived in lust, debauchery and greed. We have turned away from hearing the Lord; we have turned to our own way and thinking. We serve the gods of mammon (money, wealth, possessions, worldly gain), the gods of lust and we favor, adore and bow before technology. We have dissed God and have done and are doing abominable things in His sight – Rom 1.
Why all this? What’s going on? Two words … “Political correctness!”
The HS agenda is advancing across America like an invading locust army. Their agenda aims at destroying Christianity across this once great God-fearing land. In their wake, the traditional and fundamental form of God-ordained marriage between a man and woman is being crushed. Remember, God set this apart for His purpose and now America is mocking God and tearing it apart. And abortions since 1973 are at 56+ million. America has lost its fear of God! Do you think that Almighty God will not bring harsh judgments to us, to our land because of these things? To whom much has been given, much is required. Think about these things.
Christians have entered a spiritual battle but we have come to the battlefield arrayed in weak and pitiful armor – rust-ridden, dented, almost worthless to protect us. Our swords of God’s word and our shields of faith (Eph 6) are dull, cracked and bent. We are unprepared; we have not prayed or fasted or sought God’s face. We have become lazy in diligently reading His word. We have become spiritual ‘wimps’ void of any spiritual strength or resolve!
“Because of their wickedness which they have committed to provoke me to anger, in that they went to burn incense, and to serve other gods, whom they knew not, neither they, ye, nor your fathers. 4- Howbeit I sent unto you all my servants the prophets, rising early and sending them, saying, Oh, do not this abominable thing that I hate. 5- But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear to turn from their wickedness, to burn no incense unto other gods. 6- Wherefore my fury and mine anger was poured forth, and was kindled in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem; and they are wasted and desolate, as at this day” .-Jer 44:3-6 (KJV)
