Bible Prophecy Commentary – Silver and gold thrown into the streets:
Financial signs indicating something's wrong are all around us for those that care to look, see and hear. Economists have been predicting another major crash of the global markets for some time now. Some predicted the crash of 2008 but many average working people failed to recognize the signs, warnings and concerns. Isn't that the way of mankind – "avoid the inevitable, disregard the signs, hide them away from sight, don't dwell on them, no gloom and doom, I just want to be happy". I know many clergy who adopt this religious and even Christian philosophy.
Biblically, the last days will bring much financial despair as gold and silver will be worthless and people will throw them into the streets – Eze 7:19. The article above lists 18 items that are flag wavers in the faces of us all but we need to read and heed them. If we discount or ignore them then we will be the losers. Now I speak from a Biblical perspective, since in the last days money will eventually be worthless then the only sustaining thing of [eternal] value will be your faith. But what will your faith be in – I would hope Jesus Christ.
Examine this closely, a major economic collapse will bring much chaos to the nation/s that it hits (e.g. look what has happened and is happening to Greece, Cyprus, Spain). This is not gloom and doom nor is it sensational commentary – this is a fact that is coming upon mankind. God is going to judge this world for it's outright and blatant sin and rejection of His Son. Is now the time for this, no one is absolutely certain so keep watching the signs folks.
Keep alert, keep watch, keep your eyes on Israel and keep in prayer.
