Bible Prophecy Commentary:
This will not go well, I'm afraid for the nations involved. Even through Israel's intentions are good, according to God's word, Israel should not divide up their land.
Joel 3:1 (KJV) — "For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem, 2 I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land."
I think that this will go against God's will and it's very possible that Israel and the US (if they are behind this) will be punished by God for trying to seek a peaceful solution with the Palestinians. This could result in the Psa 83 conflict that may impact Damascus in the Isa 17 prophecy and/or ignite the Eze 38 war. It should be remembered that there is an 'ancient hatred' between the Jews and the descendants of Esau (Arabs) – Eze 35:5 and Eze 25:15. This hatred will not be resolved until the Messiah (Jesus Christ) returns at the end of Daniel's Seventieth Week. No sacrifice of land will bring a lasting peace. We have seen this in the past when Israel gave up all of the Sinai to Egypt in 1982, gave up land to Jordan in 1994, and gave up all of Gaza in 2005. There has been no lasting peace.
Keep alert, keep watch, keep your eyes on Israel and keep in prayer.
