Rapture: Taken or Left Here?

To the Scoffers, Mockers and Critics: What if the ‘Rapture’ Does Occur?

“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.” -1 Th 4:16-17 (KJV)

What will it be like after the born-again, real Bible-believing Christians known by the Lord are caught away (raptured) at some point in the, I believe, very near future? Let me first say that in this discussion the legitimacy and validity of the rapture will not be in focus and can be a topic for a future post. Albeit, it is this author’s absolute belief that the rapture will occur as described in OT and NT scripture. In review, prior to Christ’s return to earth, He will return in the clouds and gather His Bride – the ‘called out’ ones – His true followers – and take them back to His home, His Kingdom in heaven. Once this occurs the Seven Year Tribulation will start and it could occur simultaneously. Have you considered where you land in this doctrine of the Rapture taught in God’s Holy Word? What will it be like, that is, after the true Christians are instantly removed from this earth in the twinkling of an eye (1 Cor 15:51-53)? It’s time to think very carefully about these things – now today, not when you feel like it.

World Turmoil Now…

We know that right now the world is rapidly descending into a continuous spiral of wickedness, hate, anxiety, strife, and unrest. The Middle East is on fire and primed for more wars. America, Syria, Russia, China, Iran plus others are like dried-out tinder next to a lit match. Extreme weather events with storms and swings in temperature, rainfall, and snow seem off the charts and growing worse. Earthquakes, with more and more volcanoes becoming active, sinkholes opening, people hating and killing one another, riots all over (especially here in the US), homosexuality and gay-marriage have exceeded Sodom and Gomorrah’s sin against God.  America’s abortion abomination industry is continuing, with our tax dollars going to murder the innocense unborn, thanks to a new evil White House Administration. Additionally, the world is teetering on the edge of an unparalleled global economic meltdown. And on and on it goes. Time to face the facts: we are facing unprecedented calamities on a global scale. Now I know some will scoff at this and that is their prerogative but for me and many others, including renowned Bible scholars, this world is rapidly approaching the end of this age and the return of Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son in the Rapture of His Bride.

So now here comes the question for all people that call themselves Christians?

What if the “Last Trumpet” is sounded today…?

If the Lord descended today with the voice of an Archangel and the trump of God was heard, would you be ready to go in the twinkling of an eye? No time to say goodbye, no time to pack, no time to tidy up the place, your gone in less than the blink of an eye. Let that sink in for a moment…

Would you be taken as a true, righteous, born-again believer in Christ? Or would you be left behind to face the horrors of the next seven years of intense strife in the Tribulation?

NO church membership, or knowing some kind of religious human figurehead (i.e. the Pope, Mary, a bishop, a priest) or associated with a group of people nor how many times you attend church or anything else will assure you a place in the light-speed vertical movement that takes place at the rapture of His Bride.

“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” -Acts 4:12 (KJV)

It must be remembered that salvation and therefore eternal life is found in NO one else except the Lord Jesus Christ. That’s the bottom line, end of the story, no man-dictated, self-righteous position of taking Christ’s place will get you into heaven. Only, and absolutely only, knowing Jesus as your Lord and Savior will get you through the heavenly gates of His kingdom. If you don’t believe that, it doesn’t change the fact and I am sorry for you, but the truth, the authority, the power for this reality is only found in Holy Scripture.

Are you ready?

So, if you know the Lord (have proclaimed His name, confessed and repented of your sins and believe that Almighty God raised Him from the dead) and are known by Him, you will be taken. If you don’t and are just playing Christianity, playing church, pretending you’re all pious and Christian-like, you will not make it. Not me saying this – God’s Holy Writ is the source, power, authority, and final conclusion of the matter.

Friends, above all else this is the most serious reality we all face in this life! As many are dying all over the globe due to increased calamities, disasters, evil men and policies, extreme nature, death for any of us could come at any time. Back to the big question …. are you ready to meet the Lord and be escorted into His Kingdom either in the Rapture of His Bride or your own personal death? This is not a subject that’s often discussed but nevertheless needed at length in this day and age. You ready?

Amen!

“Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52- in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed. 53- For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality.” -1 Cor 15:51-53 (ESV)

Faith, Hope and Trust for Tough Times Now and the Road Ahead

Do You Know Jesus Christ as Your Lord, Savior, and King?

Ww are living in a very volatile and dangerous time of world history. Events in society, nature, geopolitics, and government are changing fast and many people are not keeping a watchful eye on what’s occurring around them. The Middle East is seemingly on fire, the global economy is failing unlike ever before, mass migrations of people are causing severe problems in the infrastructure of societies. Nature for sure seems to be signaling something … perhaps the Lord God Almighty is trying to tell us to wake up and get right with His Son. The Book of Revelation calls out many terrible things that will befall sinful and unrepentant mankind in the last days, which I believe, are right in front of us. So what do we do? What do we believe? This, my friends, is where your faith, hope, and trust in the Lord must kick in and direct your life. We must ask Jesus to increase our faith in these last to the last days; as we see events signal His soon return and the calamities that will occur.

FAITH

“And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith. 6- And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.” -Luke 15:5-6 (KJV)

The times are getting and will get very tough. So it’s extremely important that you know exactly who and what you put your faith in. If you count on your family and friends to save you and shore up your faith, you are dead wrong. They will fail you just like the things of this world. Therefore, you must put your faith in the Lord Jesus for He is eternal, He is real and He will never leave you or forsake you (Heb 13:5). You must know today that if things started to go south around you, who would you look to or turn to for help. Facing this fact while things here in the US are somewhat stable, for now, is prudent and scriptural. You must practice a daily lifestyle of faith as written in Heb 11:6, for this pleases the Lord.

“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” -Heb 11:6 (KJV)

HOPE

As the days ramp up in difficulty after difficulty across the entire spectrum of our lives, we must know the hope that we as Christians have within us. The times will get very harsh and terrible. If you are wishfully thinking otherwise or have chosen to keep your head buried firmly in the sand, you have not read your Bible! It’s now time to put into practice this hope thing that we’ve heard about it time and time again in church. You have heard it; for some, it’s been a ‘concept’ and scripture verse here and there. The time is coming folks, where it will have to be a very present reality in your faith. For without this hope, this hope that a Christian must possess in the Lord Jesus, you will be likely swept away in deception and deceit and may very well be lost. These times are coming in like a flood – it’s time to be rock solid in your hope in the Lord. Even now people everywhere are being lied to and deceived in the areas of politics and religion. Therefore, it is imperative that we know that our blessed hope is in Christ and He is coming again to take us from here to His home in heaven. This is fundamental to the Christian faith. Do you hold on to this daily?

“Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;” -Heb 6:19 (KJV)

TRUST

What’s your security in today? Do you trust your job? Your youth? Your health? Your wealth? How about your friends and family? How much time do you spend with these types of things versus how much time do you spend with Jesus: in prayer, in meditation, and reading His word – the Bible, and in knowing Him? “He that trusteth in his riches shall fall: but the righteous shall flourish as a branch.” -Prov 11:28 (KJV).  Our trust in God’s provision must be foremost in our minds as the days progress. He alone will provide for us but we must trust in Him and lean not onto our own understanding and other resources.

“This is what the Lord says: “Cursed are those who put their trust in mere humans, who rely on human strength and turn their hearts away from the Lord.” -Jeremiah 17:5 (NLT)

Folks, it’s time to think about these things seriously with a clear mind and tender heart. The times ahead will prove you either a Christian or a fake. And unfortunately, many will fall for they have not sought the Lord in their lives nor spent the quiet time with Him in strengthening and bolstering their faith, hope, and trust in Him. If you, in your faith, are teetering like a flower in a high wind, it’s time to get right with God! If you are playing games with your faith in Christ, it’s time to shed the games and get right with Him. If you claim to be a Christian but live sitting on the fence with one foot in worldly stuff and the other foot in Christianity, it’s time to make a decision either 100% with and for Him or not (Matt 12:30). If you are a fence-sitter, God will vomit you out of His mouth as you will be found lukewarm in your faith when you stand before Him in the Judgment – Rev 3:16. Remember the sobering and faith-shaking words of Joshua in —>>> Josh 24:15

If you are not a Christian and have not placed your faith and life in Christ to save you from a life separated from Him in the depths of hell (yes, I said hell) then today is the day of salvation for you. Today is the day of hope in Christ. But you must do something … Don’t put it off anymore!  Your hope must be grounded and founded in His love, mercy, and grace. He came to this world as the Lamb of God to give His life as a ransom for us. Therefore we have forgiveness for our sins purchased by His sacrifice on the cross of Calvary. For His blood paid that costly price for your soul and mine. It’s time to put off the things of this life and choose Christ.

THE LORD JESUS CHRIST IS COMING – ARE YOU PREPARED AND READY?!

Do You Fear the Lord, Tremble at His Presence, and Depart From Evil

Fear ye not me? saith the LORD: will ye not tremble at my presence;” -Jer 5:22 (KJV)

Do you fear God? The Hebrew for the word fear is yir’ah and the meaning is respect, reverence and terror.  In Acts 9:31, the Greek word for fear is phobos meaning fear, dread, or respect for one’s husband. From these verses and many others in the OT and NT the fear of God meant great reverence and respect, but also carried a very significant degree of dread and terror that strikes great fear in our hearts – Heb 10:31. For a moment examine yourself to see what things fill you with great fear, reverence and respect. Is it people, money, your home, car, spouse, boss, etc? Does Almighty God have a place on your list and if so, is He at the very top, middle or bottom? This is a very important question that we all must answer and your answer will dictate where you are in your faith in Almighty God.

“Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.” – Prov 3:7 (KJV)

Do you as a Christian depart from evil? What does that mean, you may ask? It is not just a  wordsmith exercise. Nor is it a meaningless array of “religious” thought. This is a command from Almighty God to those that choose to follow Him. It means turning away from vain and profane talk and conversation, it means turning away from vile and filthy TV shows and movies, it means staying away from the R-rated moves, it means turning away from reading worthless and lifeless books that will not draw you closer into the Lord’s presence, etc. What do you do when someone at work or elsewhere tells an dirty joke or makes obscene gestures or comments?  Do you just go along with them and/or the crowd or do you express disdain at what they are saying? Look at what Jesus said in Matt 10:28…

“And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” -Matt 10:28 (KJV)

Do you think He was just kidding?

Today, I am convinced that we see or hear little of the fear of the Lord in our society, in our families, in our churches or even in our conversations. Combined with this is the lack of the knowledge of God (Hos 4:1), which I am persuaded we see much of these days, with a decrease of even professing Christians that do not know their God and His word. If there should be any place on earth that should carry the importance and fear of the Lord it should be in our churches.

But do they … NO!

They are far from knowing, teaching or instructing what the fear of the Lord is!

Years ago, when I grew up, Sunday was a time of attending church, worshiping God, fellow-shipping in our family and the stores/businesses were closed. It was a reverent and sacred time – a time of relaxing and a time to focus on the Lord. I can remember my father reading us Bible stories as a regular part of our family life.

These days, we need to turn the cell phones off, the computers off, silence the video games, turn off the TVs and radios and spend some “alone” time with God – individually and as a family. Do you do these things? Do you really seek Him or do you just pretend …  and seeking God is far from your mind?

Nowadays, Sunday is just another day of the week filled people working more and thinking of God less and less. Many churches focus on fast-paced, powerless, rocking-out music (bringing you not even close to God) diluted Gospel sermonettes laced with an unspoken agenda to get people out in time so they can watch sports, go shopping, eat out, or just have fun. Most churches have become social clubs with little teaching on the Doctrine of God. In fact, even from the pulpit, God is far from their thoughts. What have we become in the eyes of God? Where is the reverence for the Lord, the fear, the desire to worship, praise, talk about Him instead of the regular nit-noid worldly meaningless chatter?

We come before Almighty God for a [whole] whopping hour or so each week to try and keep our eyes propped open and ears keen to hear even the faintest whisper of His Holy Spirit. While in reality our minds haven’t yet ceased from the whirlwind lifestyle we’ve been living throughout the week. So we dose and yawn, eyes drooping, with our hearts and minds fighting to maintain some degree of attention on the services we attend. How pathetic! Wake up people! This is Almighty God we are talking about – the Creator of everything you see and of you and me!

Jesus Christ is not our homey. He is not our “buddy”. He is not even a beloved family member. He is God! And as such He deserves great honor, respect, reverence and Glory through our praise and fear of Him with holy living everyday. Yes, it’s a reverent fear but also the fear of His wrath – a trembling before Him. Please try and keep these things at the forefront of your mind in whatever you say and do – daily.

Everyday we should get on our knees in fear, respect, and yes trembling before the Lord. Read His word people, get to know the God who created you and is coming again!

“The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way,” -Prov 8:13 (KJV)

Do you hate and shun evil? Did you know that God requires this of all of us, a life 100% dedicated, committed and fully surrendered to Him (Rom 12:1)? This means in thought, word and deed. And in our everyday affairs. In how we think and in the words we choose to speak. If you are a person given over to swearing and unclean talk then your religion is worthless – James 1:26 (I know several of these kind of people, one even a self-proclaimed “pastor”). Many people watch some pretty nasty stuff on the TV and they read books and magazines that can set their minds against the teachings and commandments of God. But who takes these thing to heart?

Allowing the filth of evil in whatever media form it takes friends is in opposition to will of the God for your life (1 Th 4:1-8; Eph 5:17). When you fill your minds with worldly stuff – cares, concerns, worries, guilt – or flirt with the things not of God?  For as you continue to compromise on the things of God, you can take on the nature of those things and open your spirit and soul to evil, wickedness and lawlessness [yes, even demonic] spirits -1 Cor 6:19-20; Rom 8:5, 13:14; Col 3:2, 3:5; Eph 6:12.

If you allow evil into your life/home/family watch out for a serious decline or change in your life and home. It will happen in the spirit first and then start to manifest in changing what you believe and compromise with the things of this world. Peace may start to elude you both in the spiritual and physical realms. Set your mind on the things above, not on the stuff of this world – Col 3:2.

“Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.” -Psa 2:11 (KJV)

Where are you at with the lord right now … saved or not? Do you fear Him? Do you tremble at His word? Do you shun evil? Or do you drag His precious and Holy name through the toxic poison of your speech and the worldly manner in which you live? Remember, there is absolutely no middle of the road or lukewarmness with Almighty God. You must seek the Lord Jesus Christ for only in Him is found eternal life and the saving power to forgive your sins. If you have backslid into a sinful lifestyle or you are not living for Him at all, see the Salvation page at the top of this post to get your life turned around and to seek the free gift of forgiveness of your sins and reap eternal life with Him forever.
