Feast of Trumpets – Rosh Hashanah or Yom Teruah Starts Today. What Will You Do IF the Rapture Occurs During This Time?

So You Doubted and …You Were Not Ready or Prepared. What Now?

As I write this, NO, the rapture has not occurred … yet.  But … what if it did or does and you’re still here reading this? Oops, you missed it! What now?

I am really amazed at how few Christians want to talk about the catching away of the Bride (rapture) and/or about our Blessed Hope or just in general about the Lord Jesus Christ. Do they not want the rapture to occur? Are they ashamed of the Lord (Luke 9:26) and what He taught and what’s coming? Or do they think this is only to be talked about, if at all, at church? Amazing and at the same time tragic!

Most professing Christians don’t want to hear and understand about the catching away of the saints (Rapture) described clearly in the Old Testament and the New Testament? (It could occur sooner than anyone thinks.) This should be first and foremost on all Christian’s minds given all the things happening in the world today – the signs predicted in the Bible are in rapid motion. But instead most shy away from discussion like its the plague or taboo.

“So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.” -Heb 9:28 (KJV)

Christian churches seldom, if ever, teach on what the rapture is and when it could take place. Now, don’t get nervous, I’m not suggesting any particular date but … I am suggesting a ‘season’. For we are to know the season of His return if you pay attention to and learn of the culture in which the Bible is written and who wrote it. Remember, that Jesus Christ was a Jew, lived a Jewish life and He dealt directly with the Jews while here on earth. We must keep this in mind and learn about the culture in which He lived and spoke.

Now by season, I am suggesting that we study and learn about our Hebraic roots. The Feasts of the Lord are described in the books of Leviticus and Numbers. We must learn and understand how important these Feasts are to the real professing Christian today. For these are not Jewish Feasts but Almighty God’s Feasts.

Western Christianity has veered away from teaching some of the real truths found in the Word of God. They have turned to ‘easy and a comfortable Christianity’, one in which you come to church, rock out with the music and/or sing a few songs and then listen to a sleepy sermon. Then go home or to a fun event and think little of the Lord and what impact His word should have on your life.

We are to study to show ourselves approved (2 Tim 2:15) yes, even in the OT. For by reading and digging into both OT and NT we find that Jesus came to fulfill the Spring Feasts in His first coming to earth and therefore will fulfill the three autumn Feasts in His final second coming. But if this is so, why don’t more people want to know? Fear, intimidation, doubt, unbelief, lack of faith, failure to know His word? All very relevant. Look what Jesus said …

“I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?” -Luke 18:8 (KJV)

So who wants to hear and understand these things? Who wants to be ready? How about those 10 virgins in Matt 25? Five wise, prepared and ready, five foolish, unprepared and then the door was shut in their faces.

If the catching away (1 Th 4:16-17; 1 Cor 15:51-52) were to happen say at the next Feast in the lineup wouldn’t you want to know? Isn’t this about being ready and prepared? What if because of your [arrogant] ignorance you were left behind to face an absolutely terrible world in the Tribulation? Others were taken but you remained because you thought that learning about the Jewish culture and therefore the Feasts and how they related and relate to Jesus’ first coming, rapture and second coming was insignificant, irrelevant or foolish? Sad to say, I know a many people like this in my family.

The next Feast is the Feast of Trumpets or also called Rosh Hashanna or Yom Teruah (the blowing of the trumpets) – a two-day feast. This Feast is clearly described in Lev 23:23-25. It’s the next one to be fulfilled – and this year it occurs on Sept 30 – Oct 1, 2019. Many Biblical scholars say the last three Feasts will take place and fulfill His return like this:

  • Feast of Trumpets or Rosh Hashanna – Rapture of His Bride (Jewish New Year) begins sunset Sunday, Sept. 29, 2019 and ends at nightfall Tuesday, Oct1, 2019
  • Day of Atonement or Yom Kippur – Judgment or the start of the Tribulation in some year. Begins sunset on Tues, Oct. 8th, 2019 and ends at nightfall Wed, Oct. 9, 2019
  • Feast of Tabernacles or Sukkot – When the Lord returns to tabernacle (be with) His people during His Millennial reign here on earth in some year. Begins sunset Sunday, Oct. 13, 2019 and ends at nightfall Sunday, Oct. 20, 2019

Now, I don’t know the time, day or year but I do know it’s close. How do I know this? For the signs the Lord has given to us in His word – Matt 24, Mark 13, Luke 17, 21 and in many other places.

The Feast of Trumpets is the only feast that those in ancient Jerusalem knew as the Feast that “no man knows” when it would take place. This is because of how it was recognized and then when it would start. This should be very significant and very important for all Christians to know. Many today – even Bible scholars – teach that the rapture of the Bride is ‘imminent’. This is a false teaching as no where in scripture is this ‘Doctrine of Imminency” proclaimed. Besides, Almighty God is a God of precise law and order. He is a very mathematical God and does not do things haphazardly or randomly.

“But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.” -Mark 13:32 (KJV)

In fact, I could write pages upon pages of what He has done throughout the ages based on the numbers 3, 7, 12, 40 and 70. These numbers are highly important for Christians to understand how the Lord works, how He has worked and what He will do in the future (Book of Revelation).

Please if you haven’t paid attention to the events lined up for His final arrival from a Jewish perspective, please start now. Read your Bible – OT and NT. If you go away from this teaching thinking this is ‘bunk’ or a lot of nonsense then you may be left behind when the rapture really does occur wondering what to do next.

Our hope is in the Lord – His love, mercy and grace are without limit but we must do something too. We must also learn about Him as much as we can and do this with sincerity. Are you anxiously waiting for His arrival? (Heb 9:28; Jude 1:21; Phil 3:20) If you are not, I think it’s time for you to re-examine your faith and belief in the Lord.

“Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast. For, behold, the LORD cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain” -Isa 26:20-21 (KJV)
