Bible Prophecy Commentary: Pestilences –
“And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven..” -Luke 21:11 (KJV)
According to Bible Prophecy the days before the Lord’s return will be filled with all the elements described in the verse above. We’ve seen and are now experiencing great earthquakes and more of those are coming. We have seen and heard about famines around the world and they will grow worse. Consider what the future holds for America with the massive flooding and storms that cut through America’s heartland just recently – two “Bomb” cyclones. This will have a dramatic effect on food prices and availability in the coming weeks and months.
Now consider the “pestilences” that are here (Ebola in Africa) and the superbugs that are on the rise – articles above.
This isn’t a joke and not to be shrugged off as something that will never happen to me or around where I live. Read the articles and listen to Dave Hodges describe what’s already among us. Who knows this today? Who is paying attention? The devastation that these could bring could be horrific. Consider the fourth Seal of Rev 6:
“When the Lamb broke the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying, “Come.” 8- I looked, and behold, an ashen horse; and he who sat on it had the name Death; and Hades was following with him. Authority was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword and with famine and with pestilence and by the wild beasts of the earth.” – Rev 6:7-8 (NASB)
Want to see what it could be like? If you have the time and a few dollars just watch the first episode of a movie called “The Last Ship“. I got mine from Amazon. Now it could be similar to this, I’m NOT saying it will. It will make you take notice of what pestilences could do.
Friends, as the time grows near the judgments coming will shock people like never before. Consider for a moment that the four judgments of the Lord delivered in just the Fourth Seal, they will kill one-quarter of the earth’s population! Today, we are at approx 8 billion people in the world … you do the math. No, I am not trying to be a fearmonger as some scoffers might spew forth. I am trying to prepare all people for what’s ahead. The judgments of God upon a godlessness, wicked and rebellious earth will be unlike anything ever seen before, anywhere, anytime, anyplace.
It’s time to get your life right with the Lord Jesus Christ. Any of us could be called into eternity at any time (any time). Let that sink in for a moment …. Last year around this time, I was very close to death but the Lord healed me. I was ready though and I knew that if the Lord called my name I would be with Him forever.
Are you ready for what eternity may bring for you. In reading the Bible, there’s only two destinations – Heaven, with the Lord or Hell, with eternal torment. If you deny the existence of any of these it won’t make it go away or lessen it’s truth. If you haven’t prepared to spend eternity with the Lord -saved by His blood through confession, profession and repentance – then your only other option is Hell, where your worm dieth not (Mark 9:48). Consider these and then look straight into the mirror and ask yourself – Am I ready for eternity? Do I really know the Lord. Am I saved? If not, get out your Bible and read John 3:16; Rom 10:9-10; Acts 4:12. The Lord Jesus Christ – Yahusha HaMashiach – is the ONLY person that can save you or me. No church, no person, no pope, no Mary!!!
