Bible Prophecy Commentary: What Will You Do?
Thousands of farmers are done farming, others can’t plant crops, millions of acres of farmland under water, thousands of dead livestock. All this pointing to the worst agricultural disaster in recorded history.
Folks, this means something!
All the ramifications of this disaster are not quite known … yet. But you can probably bet this will have an impact on food production and food availability. Higher grocery prices are on the way and it will hit each and every one of us. What can be done now…? Well, buy additional food, if you can, and store it away.
But some will not be able to do this. The results could be far reaching and very difficult. And the weather outlook is not good – more flooding on the way. What will this Spring 2019 bring to the entire US and for that matter the world? We just don’t know.
“And the word of the Lord came to me: 13 “Son of man, when a land sins against me by acting faithlessly, and I stretch out my hand against it and break its supply of bread and send famine upon it, and cut off from it man and beast, 14- even if these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they would deliver but their own lives by their righteousness, declares the Lord God.” -Eze 14:12-14 (ESV)
One thing we do know and that’s from reading God’s word. When a nation is continually unfaithful, He will send His judgments to try and turn us around. But in all these weather extremes I hear very little about people turning to the Lord in repentance. The churches seem to keep a lid on talking about it and how it relates to Bible Prophecy. Now, this is tragic in itself.
I don’t mean to be a fear-monger but we rally need to face the truth here. There is something very wrong and global warming or climate change is not the reason. America is falling apart in its economy, social fabric, political stability, and we are intimidating and provoking foreign nations and governments. The picture of America is growing darker and darker. Again … why? Because we’ve turned our backs on the Lord and sought to have other gods. The gods of wealth, status, fame and lust occupy our thought and interests. They have in fact, driven us away from God and for some it may be quite difficult to return. Our Lord is merciful, loving and His kindness is extensive. His long-suffering is patient, but friends, He has His limits and His patience will run out with a rogue nation that once He blessed abundantly. Pride is swallowing up the nation for the fear of God is even missing from our Christian churches. It’s flatly not there anymore.
Keep watching unto prayer. Stay alert. Seek God’s face in prayer and please, please, please confess your sins and ask for forgiveness from a Holy and Righteous God. Repentance is the key. Not from lip-service but from the heart, mind and soul. It’s time people, it’s time.
