Bible Prophecy Commentary: War is On The Horizon –
If we thought that once Russia moved out of Syria and most of its forces went back home, well, we haven't seen the last of them. And why have they deployed such devastating nuclear capable missiles into Syria? Why do they have a nuclear subs patrolling the Mediterranean? What's Putin have in mind other than no good.
We know from Bible Prophecy that the Gog/Magog war outlined in Eze 38-39 is ready for fulfillment. Many prophecy scholars believe that the nations that have accumulated in Syria are the ones that will come against Israel in the Lord's timeframe. I agree! Could that timeframe be drawing ever so close? We don't exactly know but the signs indicate that something is up and something bigger is coming.
Perhaps it was the original Syrian unrest years ago that led to its civil war that spawned the collection of the militaries of many nations – the nations called out in Eze 38, in the land of Syria. Now with the ISIS crisis all over the world, something is indeed up. Nations against nations, kingdoms against kingdoms – it's happening and we can see it. At least for those who are looking.
Are you keeping watch? There is major unrest and tension ramping up all over the world. According to scripture devastation could come suddenly and catch those that are not watching offguard and not knowing what to do. Are you in this crowd? I pray not.
