Christians must be prayer warriors in these difficult times and for what lies ahead

"Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven." -Heb 12:26 (KJV)

Bible Prophecy is 100% right, 100% of the time. This is a certainty that no one can argue with based on the Biblical history and clear archeological evidence. Prophecy that was predicted did come to pass. Therefore, the events that are prophesied yet to come, will come to pass. Even though they are overwhelming, to say the least, and referred to from some as negative, looking and sounding "gloomish and doomish", they will come to pass. The stark reality of the matter is that these things need no label/s but instead need to be understood and we need to realize our part in their unfolding. So how do you understand all this? You must read the Bible and study it like your life depended upon it. Then pray!

The things of this world are being shaken – economies, societies, relationships, governments and many more. The Lord has forecast what will take place before He arrives and I fully believe we are seeing those events playing out now and growing in intensity. So what should Christians do, what can they do?

We must be warriors of and in prayer. We must pray constantly for ourselves and for others. We must make every effort to seek the Lord's face and count on Him for strength, direction, wisdom and understanding. We must pray against evil. But not as wimps! We must take hold of the power and authority the Lord has told us we have – Luke 10:19 – and come against the powers of darkness in every area of our lives. Folks, as the days grow darker, Satan will turn down the thumbscrews of walking, talking, professing Christians. Therefore, we must pray in power – the power of the Living God and in the name of His only begotten Son Jesus Christ.

This is absolutely essential to every real, born-again Christian. If you do not pray or pray rarely, I would question your faith in Christ. The Lord plainly tells us in John 5:37-40, that we can know His word forwards and backwards but not know Him. How true this is today especially in our Christian churches. Friends, read God's word and know it for sure but do not rely on just the pages of scripture to save you. Instead rely solely on Jesus Christ – trust in Him , pour out your heart to Him, seek Him daily. And as you are worshiping Him in this way, pray that you would be given wisdom, understanding and knowledge in interpreting His word and how to tackle the things that will face all of us now and in the days yet to come.

"And the Father who sent me has himself borne witness about me. His voice you have never heard, his form you have never seen, and you do not have his word abiding in you, for you do not believe the one whom he has sent. You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about me, 40 yet you refuse to come to me that you may have life. " -John 5:37-40 (KJV)

I cannot overemphasize how important it is that every professing Christian pray and pray without ceasing – 1 Th 5:17. Submit to God and know that Almighty God is with you. The victory is yours – Rom 8:37. Turn off the TV, lose the distractions and get away alone and seek the Lord in prayer. Combat prayer! Prayer that make the demons shutter and flee! James 4:7. Pray with your family, every day, especially if you have young children adn teenagers in your home. Pray people, pray! Put on your armor and make sure it is on securely. Then wield your sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God and raise up your Shield of faith and do not fear! The three weapons that the enemy of your soul uses the most against Christians to defeat then are: fear, doubt and unbelief. Do not succumb to these but by reading God's word know the devices of your spiritual foe – 2 Cor 2:11 and be strong and let him know you are not a spiritually asleep -at-the-wheel Christian. Stand up and defeat his wiles and roars in the Name of Jesus Christ!

It's time to get right with God and know your position in Him. It's time to bolster your faith and be a warrior in prayer. Folks, in the days ahead, every Christian will need to do the things I've described here. We won't be exempt from all the difficulties coming on the earth, we will experience tough times but will not go through His Wrath.
