My Bible Prophecy Commentary – America and the Global Financial Collapse:
It’s coming folks and now it’s just a matter of when. This will most likely create much financial heartache for many people, perhaps starting in America and then to the rest of the world. Common sense says that you can’t keep spending money you can’t back up with gold. But America keeps doing it anyway to the tune of $45 billion (yes, billion!) per month. Unbelievable!
America’s God is money now and that manifests itself in idolatry of Biblical proportions. This God hates; Ex 20:3 – “Thou shalt have no other gods before me.” (KJV). When you put other things before God, you have replaced Him in your life with idols. This year – 2013 – has shown itself to be steeped in the love of stuff and money. American’s spent over $57 billion during the Thanksgiving holiday time and now stores are set to open long hours for the reminder of Christmas shopping. Where is all the money coming from with unemployment so high? Where will all this end?
Let’s remember this Christmas that it’s not about gifts and stuff, it’s about the birth of Jesus Christ. This should be a time of celebration and our deep reflection of what His birth has meant in our lives. Do we have a personal relationship with Him? Is He our Savior from this evil world? Have we confessed and repented of our sin? This should be a time of personal and family prayer; we should be seeking God for this nation and for ourselves. He is coming soon.
