My Bible Prophecy Commentary – Signs in the heavens:
Folks, you had better wake up to the inevitable. Signs are converging, like never before, for Christ’s return. In the Gospel of Luke we read Jesus’ words –
“And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; 26- Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.” – Luke 21:25-26 (KJV)
There will be many signs [and much fear] in the heavens and on the earth heralding in the Day of the Lord – an all inclusive term referencing a time preceding, including and through the time of the Lord’s Second Coming – Isa 13:6, Eze 30:3; Joel 2:1, 11, 31; Zep 1:7. Who can say what signs the Lord will use? He is God and He does His own pleasure – Isa 46:10. He used many signs in the OT – the bush that wouldn’t burn in front of Moses, drying up the sea so the 6M Hebrews could escape the Egyptian Pharaoh. Almighty God “…went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night:” – Ex 13:21 (KJV). In the NT, Peter’s shadow and Paul’s handkerchief – Acts 5, 19, healed many.
Who’s to say what He will do in these last days? Cords of sin with unrepentant hearts have enveloped the nations of this world and evil has taken hold like never before. God’s wrath, judgment and justice is coming upon mankind. Are you ready to meet your Maker?
