My Bible Prophecy Commentary – Israel:
I think the US underestimates the actual power that resides with and in the state of Israel. I think that more US politicians need to read the Bible and the promises made by the God of the Universe – God Almighty – to Israel. That He will protect and sustain the nation of Israel – His people and His land. The US helping Israel is good but do they need it … I think not. Deut 20:1, Deut 28:7, Amos 9:15
I believe what is happening today is exactly in line with God’s will. But God’s word also says that in the last days before His return Israel will stand alone with no other nations supporting them – Zech 12:3. We need to remember the history of the Jewish state since it became a nation in 1948. Against insurmountable odds, Israel prevailed against surrounding Arab nations invasions in their War of Independence in 1948, the Six-Day war in 1967 and the Yom Kippur war in 1973. The showdown between the powers and nations of the world is on-deck. The storm clouds of war are looming; the spiritual forces are readying for intense battle. The existential threat is very present and geopolitical, economic and strategic tensions are at stake but we must never forget, God is in absolute control and His plans will prevail.
Keep alert, keep watch, keep your eyes on Israel and keep in prayer.
