Bible Prophecy Commentary: America’s Sin and Samson Sin:
We were the greatest nation ever on the face of the earth. Now … we are declining into the bed of wickedness, deception, corruption, instability, weakness and ever-increasing sin. We have shunned the God of the Bible and told Him to “get out!’ I think He has. In the strength we once knew, we now show our backs to our enemies and hide from veiled threats from our adversaries.
When Judah became so wicked even after the example of the dispersion by the Assyrians of northern kingdom of Israel, God’s Glory departed from the Second Temple – Eze 8-11. Why? Because of the vastness of their sins. Is America any different today? Has then God departed from our land? Good question. IMO, if He hasn’t yet He may be very close to leaving us to our own ways or possibly He has already abandoned us to our own devices and unrighteousness – Rom 1:18ff.
I think of Samson, in the Bible, who lost his focus of God by allowing himself to be tricked by a deceptive woman (sin) Delilah and subsequently lost his strength – Judges 16. The Philistines then plucked his eyes out causing him to lose his sight. Samson was a deliver for Israel during a very difficult time for them – Judges 13. Samson losing his sight can be synonymous to a nation’s leader losing their vision for national direction and Godly focus. Samson was eventually made to entertain and became a ‘grinder’ in a Philistine prison. From strength and power to weakness and impotence. But even after all this, Sampson’s hair began to grow again and maybe after much repentance God allowed his strength to return and he was able to cause the temple to collapse with his strength and many Philistines died. God be praised!
Wake up America – the Wrath of Almighty God is coming!
Please consider this carefully. If you are trapped in the cords of your sin, you need to unravel those cords through the saving grace and forgiveness found only in Christ the Lord. Read Rom 10:9-10 for instructions on how to disassemble your sinful ways and find the saving power in Jesus Christ.
