Bible Prophecy Commentary – End Time Slumber:
Our prayers are with the victims and families that have been stricken with this deadly virus so far. May God Almighty heal and comfort you with His power and might.
I was talking to a Christian brother yesterday and heard some disheartening and disturbing replies from him as we talked about the Ebola virus, its potential as a killer as well as other end time prophecies coming into focus in these last days. His reply was, “So what, what can we do about it/them anyway?” Friends, this unfortunately is the way most Christians and Christian churches view the events leading up to Christ’s second coming. Complacency, lethargy, disinterest and disdain are infecting Christendom like a growing malignant cancer. Pastors and elders, priests and evangelists are afraid, uneducated, and grossly apathetic to Bible Prophecy and what it means in our space and time. They teach happy things, they preach love and grace but little on spiritual warfare, sin, repentance and hell, yes … hell.
Do they think that God is kidding and the Book of Revelation is to be abandoned, is not relevant, not taught and to be tossed aside? Do they not realize that God is a just God and is coming again not as a Lamb but as a conquering King, in flaming fire – 2 Th 1:8. Do they think that Jesus when He commanded us to watch for His return and the events leading up to it, was just joking around? Friends, this is a tremendous time for us to witness to others about God’s awesome love for us and that He wants all to be saved and none to perish. We cannot afford to be found with our heads in the sand because we feel there is nothing we can do about the last days coming upon us.
Contemporary Christianity is breeding sickly and frail Christians lacking spiritual fervor and any degree of combat faith. Spiritual warfare tools of our faith will be highly needed during these days and upcoming days where Satanic forces will increase in their effectiveness to destroy a Christian’s faith, trust and walk in Almighty God. Just by indicating you are unconcerned about what effect the Ebola virus could have here in America is pathetic. This Ebola virus may peter out and not amount to anything but … it may be one of the pestilences prophesied in Rev 6:7-8 , as the Pale Horse releases his payload upon mankind.
By focusing only on our own little self-contained space that we live in day to day, we undermine the bigger picture of what God wants to accomplish through us. We should be watching and alert to the last days signs as Jesus told us to be – Luke 21:36. We should be sharing the Gospel with others. Comforting others – 1 Th 4:18 – with His words. We should be confronting others about their sin, yes, but not to clobber them with the Bible but instead telling them what Christ did for them on the Cross, His blood shed for the forgiveness of sins. Don’t wait endlessly to tell a potential brother or sister about their sinful lifestyle as they may pass into eternity before you get around to it.
Don’t be a head-in-the-sand Christian with a nonchalant view of Christ’s return. Read your Bible daily, study it, immerse yourself in it. Know God through reading His word. “Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God” – Rom 10:17 (KJV) . If you want to make disciples you first have to be one yourself!

PALE HORSE: PESTILENCES ON THE RISE!
” And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth. -Rev 6:8 (KJV)
” “And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.” -Luke 21:11 (KJV)
