Christmas 2023, A Hope In Our Savior, Jesus Christ, King of Kings – So What does it Mean to You?

“Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.” -Zech 9:9 (KJV)

We are there – Christmas 2023! What a year! Still in the midst of this “pandemic” many have been racing around here and there spending money buying gifts for family and friends. Others have been making preparations, as best they can in the time in which we now live,  for the traditional family get together and all the vittles needed for a nice Christmas dinner. During this time of year, it seems that the flurry of Christmas activity is still moving albeit, in some places, limited (so sad). For many this time is sad and lonely especially if you have lost a loved one, for others, it’s a time they wish would go faster so as to get back to normal everyday living. At any rate, Christmas represents to many love, joy, peace and let’s not forget Christmas trees with lots of lights and glitter and much food with family and friends. It’s a time of great fellowship and lots of sharing. And let’s not forget the gifts, big or small, bountiful or meager, it’s a very memorable time of the year.

“Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.” -Matt 1:23 (KJV)

So amidst the hustle and bustle of the season have you ever stopped for a moment to ponder on what this really means … to you?

Now I know I could get into the legitimacy of Christmas from a Biblical point of view or the roots of Christmas from a historical perspective but, right now, at this time, well, we’ll leave that for another post down the road. I wanted to dwell for a few minutes on what does this time of year actually means to you, personally, in your heart and mind. For a moment put the gifts, glitter, food, family and friends on hold and sit down wherever you are and really think, “What does Christmas really mean to me?“. Spend some very reflective quiet time contemplating this very important question.

Does it mean anything deep down inside? Is your soul moved with the thought that Christ came from His throne in heaven to be born of a virgin, live a regular human life (without sin) and then be so derided, so scorned, scoffed and mocked by many including the ‘religious’ leaders and then finally beaten severely, nailed to a cross and there died a terrible, agonizing death? Does this move you at all? Are the juices of your soul, the emotions of your heart, what makes up you who you are, are they stirred? Where is your focus today? Is the birth of our Savior at the forefront of your mind and the how and why of His arrival firmly ingrained in your being? If not, why not?

“Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.” -2 Cor 9:15 (KJV)

Christmas has become so disjointed and disfigured, so twisted and skewed that for most, even Christians, the real meaning of who Jesus Christ is and why He came to be born in such a humble manner, is more than often overlooked or forgotten or excluded from our focus. Why is this?

Well, IMHO, it’s the ways of a greedy world that has cast off the real meaning of Christ’s birth, His life here on earth and finally His death. All these should have such an impact on our lives that we think about them daily and tell others as often as we can. The best gift to be given to any human being is the gift of Christ – His love, grace and mercy; and this gift is free! And there is a tremendous bonus gift – for those that accept Him, believe in Him and follow His word, eternal life to live with Him in His home forever. Wow! That is an awesome thought and an awesome gift! 

So with these things in mind and during the festivities this year please take a moment to consider what Christ’s birth means to you and where you are at in your relationship with Him.

“Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.” -Romans 15:13 (KJV)

May God’s blessings be upon you this Christmas season.

WARNING — Flee From the Wrath to Come!

Who, Me?

“But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?” -Matt 3:7 (KJV)

Make no mistake for the Wrath of God is coming! John the Baptist was a fiery and no-kidding preacher, preaching repentance for the kingdom of God was at hand. He didn’t pull any punches nor did he soften the reality of God’s truths –  who He actually was and is today (Heb 13:8). So do we have any preachers today heralding this same message? I would say very, very, very few.

Who would think that a loving God – you know the one we’ve been taught about all our church-going lives, would actually send people to hell via His wrath? Where do you hear this type of message today. Who should hear it? All of us should!!

“Then said he to the multitude that came forth to be baptized of him, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?” – Luke 3:7 (KJV)

John blasted the religious leaders on the day when they arrived to the baptism he was performing. John called them snakes (vipers) and asked them who told you about what’s coming for the unbelievers, the fakers, the false teachers (and we have a lot of these snakes masquerading as pastors in our churches right now!). You see John knew who they were and what they represented. We notice that John was slinging these tough words not only at the church leaders of the day but also at the people for in Luke 3:7, he also taught these things to all the people present. Bringing this home today, he was talking to the conservatives and liberals of our time. That’s the folks sitting in church pews every Sunday. And that’s the peeps attending church-sponsored Christian conferences, seminars, speeches, rallies, concerts and all kinds of events.

The Pulpit Pleasers-  

LISTEN EVERYONE: You can believe this or not but nevertheless it’s true, most Christian churches deliver a softened Biblical message ripping the teeth out of the Gospel so as to leave in its place a “defanged” God, void of any anger, fury, wrath, or judgment. For churches today pour on plenty of the lovey-dovey stuff, with emphasis heavy on the mercy and grace of our Savior but void of the no-kidding truth of scripture – His wrath, anger, fury and judgment. We hear a non-offensive Gospel, unfortunately, by design. It’s our church leaders hidden agenda. Most pulpit pleasers do this so as to preserve their paychecks, their self-righteous dignity and their desire to have the congregants love them.

They promote their “church businesses”, at the expense of compromising the Gospel, to make sure they stay afloat. This is not love – this is a dislike of the Gospel, your soul and the Lord; they do this knowingly and will pay a hefty price when they stand before the Lord God Almighty!

Yep, tough and hard words but can you face the reality of the truth?

And they refuse to speak of the severity of God’s wrath and the impending judgment waiting to be downloaded on a sinful and unrepentant people. They are not showing their love and concern for their flocks but just the opposite. The religious “hypocrites” behind our pulpits fail to teach repentance mainly because they don’t practice it themselves. 

Babes in the Pews, Happily Chugging Down the Milk and Pablum-  

Most of Christian churches today might as well pass out baby bibs and pints of warm milk at the door as the folks come in to hear and see the “show” because that’s all that’s offered there. We have many spiritual babies sitting in the pews drinking down only the milk of His Gospel; taught only the warm softened pablum of His word. Why? Because they only receive baby food rich in only the milk of the word – 1 Cor 3:2. They are not ready to receive the meat of the word for they haven’t matured in the Lord.

“For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the basic principles of the oracles of God. You need milk, not solid food, 13 for everyone who lives on milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, since he is a child.” – Heb 5:12-13 (ESV)

You see Almighty God and church are not to be like a sports event, where people go to be entertained and to feel the heat of competition with chanted cheers for one team or another. And it’s not an emotional-only event … friends, this is a Holy, Righteous God we come to worship, not some pulpit hero. God in His love, mercy, kindness, grace and … judgment is not a game! He doesn’t play games or approve of fake (insincere) worship – Isa 1:14-16; Isa 59:2-3; Hos 6:6; Amos 5:22-24. Churchgoers – Christians, if you can call them that today, are not taking God seriously! 

FOR MOST, THERE IS NO FEAR OF GOD IN THE CHURCH OR IN THE PEOPLE THAT CALL THEMSELVES CHRISTIANS! 

You can go to church a million times a week, sing in the choir, lead a Bible study or small group, speak eloquently, even read your Bible (but not for understanding) and it won’t mean diddly unless you practice confessing your sins and engaging in sincere repentance. There are absolutely no alternatives or substitutes for this. These are elements of living a holy life before our God. If you do not do these things, you will not see the Kingdom of God – Luke 13:1-5, Heb 12:14. Seriously friends – the truth that all of us must face in this is that these types of churchgoers are headed directly for hell! Think this is untrue, read the Scriptures. (This repeated again below for it’s that important).

Listen to what the Bible says about fake Christians and those that don’t spend sincere time in knowing Him – “From His mouth comes a sharp sword, so that with it He may strike down the nations, and He will rule them with a rod of iron; and He treads the wine press of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty” (Rev 19:14-15, ESV). He says in 2 Th 1:8-9, that He is coming “In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: 9- Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;” (KJV). Who hears this with understanding today. Do Christians take this seriously? Who wants to hear it? Do I, do you? Yes, I do!

Friends, do you get this? Do you hear this in your church? If you don’t, ask the pastor/s why? And if they can only offer excuses – get out of that place fast!!! 

If You Call Yourself a Christian …

If you call yourself a Christian, it’s time to ‘Christian-up’ and know who God is. Know about Him, know His word. Know that the days ahead will get worse and not better. You had better fear Him as well and tremble at His word – this is not a game – 1 Pet 1:17. Know that His word says that terrible times are coming and if you are not prepared (but instead refuse to acknowledge this and keep your head firmly buried in the sand) you will probably “faint” in the days coming – Luke 21:26. (here’s the definition in Greek of the word faint – here).

Do not put your trust in false preachers that refuse to teach about the wrath of God. If John the Baptist preached about the wrath of God, who are we to disregard it? Do not put your trust in a religion or in men. Many people will be entering hell because they refuse to read their Bibles and know God and instead trust in idols, in the traditions of men and in false teachings. They don’t hear (or even want to hear) about their sin and therefore don’t repent. 

One last thing John said after he ripped the heads off the leaders and the people. He said they must bear the “fruit of repentance” (Matt 3:8). So who repents these days? Do you? Do your leaders? Is it even taught? Do your research and examine that without repentance in your life – look out! I’m not talking about how much you attend church or how good you are or how many good things you do, I’m talking the meat and potatoes of sincere repentance before a Holy and Righteous God. You will find in Luke 13:1-5, the stark reality of the seriousness of repentance from Jesus’ own lips and what will happen to you if you don’t repent.

It’s time to get things right with God. I’m talking to me, to you and to the pastors and church leaders in our midst today. God is not playing games with His word. I’ll leave you with the severity of His word in the following verse… right.  

“For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” -Heb 4:12 (ESV)

PERILOUS TIMES: Hate, Lawlessness, Wickedness Now Reigns in America – Matt 24

Most Elected Leaders Are Godelss – Filled With Hate, Bitterness and Evil

“And at that time many will fall away, and they will betray one another and hate one another … And because lawlessness is increased, most people’s love will become cold.” -Matt 24:10, 12 (NASB)

There once was a nation whose God was the Lord God Almighty and they lived in peace, in obedience to His word, followed His commandments, sent missionaries all over the world, fearlessly spread the Gospel and led others to Christ. This nation became, in record time, a major superpower across the globe and led the world in its economy and morality. This nation excelled in righteousness, goodness and in Biblical principles. This nation was called America but is rapidly, at now an accelerated pace, falling away from God and embracing evil and wickedness, lies, and hatred. Our spiritual trajectory is on an almost parallel course to that of other pagan and Godless nations (i.e. China, Russia, Iran, NKorea).

We are buckling under a world-class demonic tyranny that hasn’t been seen since WWII. Wicked leaders radically imposing tyrannical methods to achieve a total [mindless] inoculation of a wicked, ineffective, demonic, jab that is killing and maiming people without care for human life. With lockdowns that do nothing and mask-wearing that does more damage than not. And who is behind all this? Who has drafted and exercised such advanced war-gaming to stay just ahead of rational thought of a conservative, Christian mindset…?

“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. ” -Eph 6:12 (NASB)

 

This has been orchestrated by higher powers, principalities in heavenly places that have possessed men and women across the globe. And the US is not exempt! We have ruthless, Godless, wicked men and women in charge that are following the orders of their spiritual wicked handlers. And all this is happening right in front of our eyes but even those that call themselves staunch Christians, and weekly church-goers can’t see through the lawless maize or fog or even a web of deceit setup against and permeating society at all levels.

The Christian church – the last bastion of prayer, strength and defense against this wickedness and lawlessness – is sick, feeble, weak, timid and hiding.

 

Many, many of our Christian churches are without any semblance of a backbone to stand up to the radical tyranny now leading our states and our national government. This is a tragedy against humanity. Instead of our Christian churches leading a strong spiritual defense against this onslaught of evil, they are hiding with most agreeing, promoting and sanctioning what’s going on. Unbelievable!! Even a well-known Christian speaker, author and leader is urging people to get this death-shot.

And now the “thief” (Satan forces directing evil-filled men and women) has entered our midst – “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” – John 10:10 (KJV)

 

All this is bringing America down so fast, like a freight train off the track about to wreck. Americans have been deceived big time! Most just go along with the lying MSM and continue posting secular “garbage” on FB. Those that do stand up and post the truth on other social platforms face the “cancel culture” and censorship that now is off the charts.

“But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. 2- For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3- heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, 4- treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power.” -2 Tim 3:1-5 (ESV)

All this being said has brought America and Americans and especially Christians to a precipice of … the next shoe to drop. Most live in fear these days with the onslaught of virus lies and overblown untruths. Most here have also been deceived big time. 

Perilous and difficult times are now staring right in the face! So what now…?

America MUST return to Almighty God!! We must start now!!! Perilous times are here as you can see manifesting in the behavior of people. Hate and wickedness fill the halls of Congress and the streets and homes of our cities. If certain things go according to the evil agenda at hand, America is being overrun with millions of “strangers” invading our land due to a senseless opening of our borders. This in itself is insane and should be a red-flag flying in the faces of all Americans that something very nefarious is happening to our nation. This will put us real Americas in a very precarious position – loss of our jobs, or no jobs, more welfare paid when we can’t afford it now, crime, disease, and the list goes on! Get ready, be ready as this is now upon us! No scare – just prepare!

Friends, America, Americas and yes, even Christians need God back at the helm of our national life,  individual lives and in our churches. Today, here and now! The time is now where we MUST change our course and head back to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. For today is the day of salvation. Folks, one day the door to the Age of Grace, in which we live now, will be shut (remember the 5 foolish virgins of Matt 25) and then times will get extremely difficult for all left here on earth. I am speaking of the rapture of His Bride – the real and truth surrendered and dedicated men and women who call themselves real and true Christians when they will depart this earth in the twinkling of an eye. Once this happens, and it will happen, those left here will face insurmountable troubles. But even during this time many will be saved but in tumultuous times. Bottom – line – it won’t be pretty!!

Today is the day of salvation saith the Lord -1 Cor 6:2. Seek Him today everyone to receive the free gift of salvation or to renew your commitment to Him and then complete surrender to His will. Read your Bible!
