My Bible Prophecy Commentary – Elam, Persia (Iran):

The US seems eerily silent in the pages of Bible prophecy. Why? Many a Bible scholar has tried to come up with an answer but there are none that truly answer the question. America is becoming weaker and weaker in their resolve to address world tyranny and many nations know it. Most notably is Iran and Russia who in recent months have challenged the authority we once held on the world stage. As I’ve stated many times before the spiritual hedge of protection and strength this once great nation had is now broken down; we have stiff-armed God out of our lives. It seems that we are prime for aggression at the hands of the people who want to destroy us. There will be many difficult times for this nation and others as we head into the days prior to the Day of the Lord (start of the wrath of God).

I like what the author says in the article above titled – “Iran has the bomb” (Peter Vincent Pry), in which he states: “The possibility of nuclear EMP attack is another “miracle” as it destroys the high-tech society and weaponry that is the source of U.S. strength. In this view, Western materialism and worship of the False God that is Technology becomes our downfall.”.

America’s High Tech Culture Equates to Godless Idolatry

Today, we have made technology one of the biggest and most worshiped God’s in our lives. We have replaced Almighty God with technical idols and idols in our hearts (fame, power, pride, etc). He will deal with unrepentant sinners according to His word – “For the day of the LORD of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low:” -Isa 2:12 (KJV) It can’t be more clear what an EMP attack on the US would accomplish. Will it occur? Time will tell but the thought of an Iranian warship off our east coast is quite unnerving.
