My Bible Prophecy Commentary – Drought:

The Lord God reproved ancient Israel for their faithlessness many times and in the book of Amos because they did not return to Him, so He brought upon them calamities such as drought, crop devastation, lack of food, and plaques and wars. To put it plainly, God was disgusted with them – Amos 4:4-5. Can you see any difference today all over the world with nations that stiff-arm Almighty God?

In America, because we have been given so much in terms of knowing God (in past times) and the recipient of His many blessings, we are now, due to unfaithfulness,  feeling God’s hand against this land. “…For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required:…” (Luke 12:48 KJV). America, IMO, is now reaping some of His reproving (correcting) anger. I think today we see God’s disgust in America, hence, all the extreme weather and corruption across-the-land.

“I also withheld rain from you, When there were still three months to the harvest. I made it rain on one city, I withheld rain from another city. One part was rained upon, And where it did not rain the part withered. So two or three cities wandered to another city to drink water, But they were not satisfied; Yet you have not returned to Me,” Says the Lord.” -Amos 4:7-8 (NKJV)

Wake up folks, His wrath will come one day and what will you do? Repent of your sins … today.
