""Blasphemy Challenge" Encourages People to Curse God", Christian Headlines – 9/3/2014
Bible Prophecy Commentary – Cursing, Insulting and Blaspheming God:
"But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:" – Mark 3:29 (KJV)
In the last days there will be much apostasy in and out of the church – 2 Thess 2:3. We are seeing this on the increase right now. What else would lead and deceive people to take up this damning 'challenge'?
The people who are being deceived to say this don't know the seriousness of mocking, cursing and insulting God. God will not be mocked – Gal 6:7, and those that do this in disobedience will feel His wrath. Additionally, blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is described as the only sin that will not be forgiven and the people that in their hearts proclaim this will be forever damned and never again receive the chance for salvation. A stark reality and truth written in the Bible and relevant for our times.
"The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good." -Psalm 14:1 (KJV)
People forget that in the day of judgment, when they sand before YAHWEH God, every idle word uttered from their mouths in their life time will have to be accounted for. How will these people who take up this 'challenge' explain this to Almighty God? They won't be able to since there will be NO excuses and no explanations.
What I believe we are seeing is a prelude to what men will do during the Tribulation and Great Tribulation. With God's judgments falling, times will be so bad men will choose to curse God – Rev 16:9 – instead of turning to Him in repentance. Friends, this will become a reality for those that choose to serve darkness instead of turning to the light of God's Son Jesus Christ.
For those that choose to take up this 'challenge' do not forget what the consequences for your soul could mean. We are talking eternity man – and that means forever! You won't have any homies, buds, possies or anything else to ease your pain. Think about this before you utter those words; this is serious before the Creator of the Universe.
An alternative: instead of taking up this ludicrous challenge that surely will bring about spiritual death, take up an everlasting position and profess 1 John 1:9 (KJV) "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
