Fiery Darts of Fear – Put on the Full Armor of God
“For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline.” -2 Tim 1:7 (NASB)
The uncertainty of things today hangs like a never-ending fog over nations and people. We live in perilous (difficult, harsh) times and their accompanying effects have many people in the bondage of terrible fear. Fear is engulfing the world at an alarming rate and it will not subside as foretold in Bible Prophecy (BP). So we must know what to do about its cause and effects and how to overcome it.
Our leaders, and for that matter most people, have lost their fear of Almighty God and therefore have succumbed to evil, wickedness and lawlessness. BP foretells that in the last days many would fall away from the faith and therefore plunge headlong into the grip of the world. Friends, I write what I see, hear and read about and am pulling no punches in this writing. We have way too many pulpits silent to what’s happening across mankind – lack of love, lawlessness, wickedness, rumors of wars, famines, pestilences, etc – and fail to tell their flocks the rock solid truth of God’s word and how to prepare as these times we live in ramp up and get worse. Yes, it’s not good news and its alarming but we must remember God is in control over everything; mankind must suffer these things because of unconfessed and unrepentant sin. If you belong to God and He knows your name, then as times get worse count on the Lord to be your strength and your song (sing the praises of the Psalms when you are afraid). Praise His Holy name when you are caught in a fearful situation. Praise Him!
Take for example this CV virus … look at what is becoming of our world with ruthless and Godless leaders with the wicked media cramming fear, guilt, worry and falsehood down our throats to make us live in fear and succumb to the narrative. Did you ever hear anything like this for the seasonal flu that hits mankind every year and kills tens of thousands? Crickets! But this current virus and now the never-ending [absurd] lineup of variants … are all designed to keep us in constant fear so we can be controlled and bend to all the evil dictates they throw at us. Heck, just examine the worse than Hitler tactics being used against people in Australia and Austria and now in France, Canada and many other nations. These leaders that impose such fear and suppression on their people are led by the hellish demonic hoards poisoning their hearts, minds and souls and suppressing right thinking and righteous reason. And all this designed and orchestrated to keep us in endless fear.
So what do we as Christians do…?
We stop and listen to God, to His Spirit and read His Word! We pray and we sing songs of deliverance. We stand strong in our faith; we must not give in an inch to the fear imposed on us by the Godless leaders in positions of authority. If you believe in God and believe He is with you and in control then to continue in fear is not walking in His will. Yes, at times, we have all fallen into fear but it’s what you do with that fear that separates the “real” Christians from the CINO’s (Christians in Name Only).
Fear will paralyze your faith, it will immobilize your resolve and keep you in constant bondage!
Break free of this fear and let your faith shine before God and His Son, Jesus Christ. Why? Without faith it’s impossible to please Him – Heb 11, God has not given us a spirit of fear but of … 2 Tim 1:7, Perfect love casts out all fear – 1 John 4:18
Friends, these days and the days yet to come will be filled with fearful events and situations so we must put our full trust in the Lord Jesus Christ with no exceptions and no excuses. The enemy of our soul will bombard us daily with fiery darts/arrows of fear, guilt and worry. We must not give place to any of his well-tuned and well-defined tactics of fear.
Fear will melt your faith like an ice cream cone on a blistering hot summer day.
Instead stand strong in the Lord, in His power not yours. We do not have the ability, nor thinking, nor power in ourselves to tell the Devil to take a hike. We must speak the name of Jesus over every situation and use the power that He has given us to ward off and quench the fiery darts of fear the Devil throws at us. This virus is no exception. If you give in to his means of deceptive control, he will throw you to the ground – weak, afraid and as a powerless warrior of the Cross. Many people have fallen for his tricks of deceit and are living in the bondage of fear right now. They have no discerning between good and evil, most likely have a weak prayer life and fail to read God’s Word on a daily basis. As such these people are targets for Satan’s arrows; do not be one of these.
Stand strong in the power of His might!!!!
“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. 11- Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. ” -Eph 6:10-11 (ESV)
Whatever you are facing do not face it in only your strength, face it with God at the helm of your life for He is at your right hand if you are on of His.
“I have set the Lord always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.” -Psa 16:8 (KJV)
