Bible Prophecy Commentary: Pestilences –
It seems that here in America, this Coronavirus isn’t getting the attention that it deserves in ligpesht of Bible Prophecy. I don’t hear or see any articles on how significant this could be concerning last days events foretold in God’s word.
But if we read what Scripture says about end time calamities nature plays a big part and also diseases and pestilences. Many Christians, aren’t putting these things together and becoming aware of just how important this is and ehn how fast it could spread. Michael Snyder of The Economic Collapse Blog writes – “A Week Ago There Were 547 Coronavirus Cases In China. Now There Are 7,711“. Now that’s fast?
But where are you in your consideration of this nasty virus. Have you read Scripture to examine that this indeed could be a prelude of what’s to come? Yes there were other very deadly outbreaks in our past (i.e. The Black Plague, Marburg, Rabies, HIV, Ebola, SARS, Bird Flu, The Spanish Flu of 1918, etc). And they took many lives and now this Coronavirus strikes earth. What will it bring and how many lives will be lost? Only the Lord knows but are we prepared for this is if gets closer to our lives? Are you living in the faith and trust that the Lord will protect you? Do you even pray? How about over your food and family? Do you do this? If not, why not.
We must focus our lives in our faith and pray without ceasing. Pray the Lord would bless our food and our health. Pray for one another and spread the Gospel to friends and family. You see, we never know what the next minute or hour or day will bring forth in our life. Are you prepared? Are you saved?
For the people and nations that turn away from Almighty God, this is what the Bible speaks… Does this speak to Christians today? How about to governments and nations? Churches…? The Lord is gracious and long-suffering but He also has limits.
“If you are not careful to observe all the words of this law which are written in this book, to fear this honored and awesome name, the Lord your God, 59- then the Lord will bring extraordinary plagues on you and your descendants, even severe and lasting plagues, and miserable and chronic sicknesses.” -Deut 28:58-59 (NASB)
No gloom and doom just Biblical Truth which seems very to be absent in Christian circles, Bible Studies and churches these days.
