False Teaching on Suicide

“Greg Laurie on Jarrid Wilson suicide: We will not be judged for last moment before death”, The Christian Post – 9/13/2019

Bible Prophecy Commentary: Incorrect Theology!

Sounds good and pretty and nice and non-offending but is it the truth? Or is it koolaide?

Not one supporting scripture was given to prove directly what was said is truth. Not one! All conjecture and incorrect Biblical teaching. Please, please, please – read the Word of God yourself and ask the Holy Spirit for understanding and wisdom in this matter and all other Biblical matters. There will be a ton load of deception in the last days from all lips regardless of who you are or what position you hold. Read Scripture for yourself and pray.

Concerning suicide of anyone … Suicide is not the final end of a person’s existence. Biblically , Commandment #6 says “You shall not murder” -Ex 20:13. If you take your life, are you not a murderer of yourself? The Hebrew word transliterated here is ratsach, (Strong’s H7523) which refers to an intentional, premeditated killing.

“Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer; and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.” -1 John 3:15 (NASB)

It says there will be no murderers in heaven – are we to skip this verse and just cling to the “happy” verses? The once saved, always saved teaching is false and a doctrine of demons and in the last days there will be plenty of this kind of teaching – 1 Tim 4:1. It gives people a false sense of eternal security which is not found in Scripture … anywhere!

Folks, God ordains the days of our lives and He only has the right to decide when we die. For as Psalm 139:16 (ESV) says – “Your eyes have seen my unformed substance; And in Your book were all written The days that were ordained for me, When as yet there was not one of them.”

“Whoever sheds man’s blood, By man his blood shall be shed, For in the image of God He made man.” -Gen 9:6 (NASB)

Friends, suicide is a complex subject and many have said it’s ok and you will be forgiven and ushered into heaven. Yes, Jesus died for our sins – past and present and future, so long as we confess them and repent thereof – Acts 3:19; 2 Tim 2:25; Eze 18:21-23. Considering the Scripture I have displayed here, you can form your own opinion. But consider if this was the case and your free pass out of here and into heaven, wouldn’t you think Christians would be checking outta this life to enter eternal bliss in droves? In other words, galloping to do themselves in so they could get to heaven faster? NO!!!!!

Do your homework and read the Bible – all of it – and understand what God says about this topic. I have been hurt emotionally many, many times and undergone severe attacks from demonic strongholds and in the midst of these things, I have always turned to Scripture as my absolute truth. My only crutch to lean on. You see God Almighty and Jesus His Son are Rock Solid in truth and will never fail you if you put your absolute trust and hope in Him. But you must walk in faith and not by sight (2 Cor 5:7). I have sought help in the Psalms many times – they are comforting, strong and secure – they will help any will read them in faith. Call on the Lord!

God is loving, kind, gracious, merciful and just. But He does have requirements in this life that we must follow. If we fail in confessing and repenting of our sins as often as necessary (for me it’s daily) then we run the risk of Luke 13:1-5. Read this and discover what Jesus said directly.

So today, who are you trusting in? Who is your God? The church? Some figurehead? Some religious figure? Or it is Almighty God; your Savior Jesus Christ who by His death, burial and resurrection we are saved.

Bottom line concerning religious teachers: Be very careful who you listen to out there in evangelical land and prove EVERYTHING they preach/teach (Acts 17:11).

“But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death..” -REV 21:8 (KJV)

WATCH OUT FOR DECEPTION !!

“And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many …And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many … For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.”  -Matt 24:4,5,11, 24 (KJV)
