Are You Saved?

Now is the Time … Don’t Put It Off!

What do you mean?  I have never heard of this. Saved from what? From whom? Hey, I believe there is a God and sometimes I go to church … and sometimes I do good things …

More so than ever before in human history, men must come to the realization that there is a life hereafter. There is an eternity. There is a God and there is a Devil. There is also a literal heaven and a literal hell. These are in-your-face pertinent no-kidding truths for everyone right now today.  You can choose to believe these are real or one day in your pride, arrogance, rejection and unbelief find out the truth and by then it will be too late. If you pass through the gates of Hades or Hell, your eternal destination is set, locked in, never to be changed! Now please get this – it will be eternal, in other words forever! No purgatory, no holding tank until you work your way out and into heaven. The doctrine of purgatory is a false unscriptural doctrine crafted in the pits of hell. You will not find it in Holy Writ.

We All Deserve Hell –

We are talking about your spiritual life – your relationship with Almighty God and His Son Jesus Christ. The bottom line: we are all deserving of spending eternity in hell but through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ God’s only begotten Son, we have confidence and assurance of eternal life with Him in heaven once we go through death’s door. Many don’t give this a second thought and only think about the here and now. They ‘think’ via rationalization that they will live until a ripe old age and sometime before they die, at say, age 70 or 80 or 90, they will make a decision to then believe in God. It’s a plain and simple fact that all of us will die one day but what many don’t realize is that they could die at any moment and then their eternal destination is sealed – either for hell or for heaven.

Where will be your destination if you died after reading this message or say later today or tomorrow or next week sometime? Please do not scoff or discount the reality of an eternity – either in heaven or hell! Hell or Gehenna (Gr) or Hades (Gr) was a place not made for man but for the Devil and his demons (Matt 25:41). It’s a hideous and terrible place – your existence is reduced to an eternal fiery torment in darkness separated from God.

Remember, it’s Almighty God who will judge and condemn you (John 3:18; 8:24) and send your soul to hell if you haven’t confessed your sin, repented of it and in sincere belief and trust proclaimed Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. You see, Jesus, in His great endless love came to save us from an eternal separation from Him, therefore, choose Christ and a life forever with Him in heaven. It is ultimately your choice and your decision.

“Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.” – James 4:14 (KJV)

Jesus Christ Became the Ultimate Sacrifice For Us –

Jesus Christ made the ultimate sacrifice on the Cross of Calvary in that He bore the sins of our lives – past, present and future – on His body. He was crucified, died, was buried and then was resurrected by God the Father after 3 days. He was the Lamb of God who was slain – Rev 5:12.  This is the fundamental truth and belief of an active, professing, trusting and believing Christian. It is by faith and faith alone that salvation is received into one’s soul and it is through the spirit of man that we have fellowship with Jesus Christ – Eph 2:8-9. It is through Christ’s death and resurrection and our profession of faith in Him that we are saved from the dreadful consequences of living an unrepentant sinful life ending with an entrance through death’s door into an eternal darkness without God. It is not though any type of works that we are saved or remain saved as some false religions preach.

“The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved.” -Jer 8:20 (KJV)

Friends, It’s Time to Think Serious About This –

Friends, now is the time to get serious about this. The time grows shorter every hour that passes by. We live this life only for a short time, a bus stop, a vapor or wisp of existence in the span of eternity. Jesus Christ came to become the ultimate sacrifice for us; He paid the ultimate price for our sins shedding His blood on the Cross of Calvary. In the Old Testament, the blood of animals was required to temporarily atone (or to reconcile) for sin between God and mankind – Lev 17:11. It wasn’t a permanent atonement and so had to occur once each year so the Israelites could be cleansed from their sins and brought back into fellowship with God Almighty. But in the New Testament, Christ became the sacrificial Lamb to atone once and for all,  for all of our sins. But we/you need to do something…

We must call on the name of the Lord (Rom 10:13), confess Him as the Lord of your life and believe in your heart (soul) that God raised Him from the dead. That’s it! No ritual, no ceremony, no signed agreement, no confessing/confession before a man or idol – right now while reading this you can become saved and lock in your eternal destination.

Here’s a simple prayer for salvation:

“Almighty God, I ______________________ (fill in your name) confess and repent of my sins, I will amend my ways, I will change my attitudes and lifestyle, for I am seeking now the free gift of salvation through the sacrifice of your Son – Jesus Christ – who shed His blood for me on the cross of Calvary. I want to go to heaven when I die. So I come to you right now, confessing with my mouth and believing in my heart Jesus as my Lord and Savior, that He died for my sins and was raised to life by God the Father, the Creator of the Universe. Amen.”

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” – John 3:16 (KJV)

If you have prayed this prayer and are sincere – welcome to the family of God! As long as you live for Him, confess and repent of your sins, live in holiness and seek His will for your life, you will spend eternity with Him once you depart your body. But please remember the Lord requires you to be 100% dedicated … to Him! No turning back, no looking back like Lot’s wife did.

You must walk in His ways, to love and serve Him every day with Godly fear, reverence and awe, to be holy – Deut 10:12, Acts 10:2, 1 Th 4:7, 1 Pet 1:16. Also, you must seek to know Him more, you must have a personal relationship with Him. How? By reading His word daily – the Holy Bible – which is of primary importance. And in prayer – daily, hourly – all the time. This is part of His will for your life, so do not put it off or reject its importance. The Lord has not left you alone to accomplish these things for He has sent His Comforter – the Holy Spirit – who will lead and guide you into all truth. Call out to the Lord Jesus Christ today!

“Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.” – Matt 10:32-33 (KJV)
