Our Expectation in the Lord – He is Our Blessed Hope

Are You Excited About Seeing the Lord?

“Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;  Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;” -Titus 2:12-13 (KJV)

One day soon our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will appear in the clouds (1 Th 4:16-17) and catch away His bride (Eph 5: 25-27) – the Christian church. Then after a brief time He will come again to earth with His angels and saints with His feet landing on the Mt of Olives (Zech 14:4), He will destroy the wicked and those who come against Him in the Battle of Armageddon. He will then throw the beast or Antichrist into the abyss for one thousand years while He – Jesus Christ – rules and reigns on earth from Jerusalem. After the thousand years have passed the Great White Throne Judgment will commence where unsaved sinners will be judged and receive their just punishment – and eternity separated from God in the Lake of Fire, commonly known to people as hell.

Those that know Jesus as their Lord and Savior will be the ones to depart in the rapture. That day will be glorious! A day in which we who are alive will be snatched away from this wicked globe and go to be with Him in His house – John 14:2-3. What an awesome future to look forward to. Scripture says that the suffering we face today is nothing compared to the glory that will be revealed in us – Rom 8:18. Folks, I am looking for this day with utmost anticipation but I also know that while we are here in our mortal bodies we will all suffer many troubles. Yet the hope of His soon coming excites me and makes me long for the glories of heaven and the expectation that we will live forever with Him in a place where:

“But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” – 1 Cor 2:9 (KJV)

Did you know that those that hope in His coming and wait for Him loving His appearing will receive a crown … yes, a crown of righteousness. There are actually five crowns reserved for those that love Christ and live according to His word. I can’t wait! These are awesome thoughts and they make my soul rejoice for our Blessed Hope. One day our Lord will arrive and take me and you (if you are saved)  home; can you just imagine this? The God of all Creation will take us to His house and to our very own mansion to live with Him forever. If this thought doesn’t make you quiver with excitement I expect nothing could.

“Let our conversations be seasoned with His grace and mercy speaking of Godly things to one another and the expectation of His coming again” – Phil 3:20-21.

Our hope then is established in faith for the appearing of Jesus Christ in all glory and honor. He is coming friends for the Bible says so. Cast the anchor of hope for your soul in Him for only He and He alone can save you from this wicked world. What a glorious future awaits those that have had their sins washed away by His blood – Rev 1:5.

“Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;” -1 Peter 1:13 (KJV)

“Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.” – Rom 15:13 (KJV)

Friends, God the Father loves us so much that He sent His Son- Jesus Christ – to die as a sacrifice paying the ultimate penalty for our sins on the Cross of Calvary. He rose again giving us the hope of eternal life with Him in His Kingdom. Don’t delay put your faith, trust and hope in Him today.

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,  To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,” -1 Peter 1:3-4 (KJV)
