Bible Prophecy Commentary: We Had Better Be Paying Attention!
Lotta hype flying around about this Friday’s lunar event. So the looming question is what will happen or what will it bring? Will the world end? An absolute and positive NO!! Do not listen to those sensational televangelists and the ones on YouTube that proclaim this will be the end of the world or things of that nature. For there are many of those dramatic preachers that lead people astray to increase their followers. Read God’s word yourself so you know the fake, false and untruthers that are peddling a false Gospel.
What then will this Friday’s blood moon, longest this century, mean…? We don’t know until it happens but it could mean something. Or it could mean notta. But … a staggering and stunning “but…”, It could be a sign from God alerting us to pay attention to Him – Psa 89:37, for time is running very short
“It shall be established for ever as the moon, and as a faithful witness in heaven. Selah.” -Psa 89:37 (KJV)
We know that according to the Bible and Bible Prophecy that He sends us signs in the sun, moon and stars – Luke 21:35-36. There are a ton load of Christians that are not and do not pay attention to the signs He calls out in His word. They are lethargic and have become callous to the things of God. Heck, most don’t read their Bibles anymore and rely on the “cowards” in our pulpits to teach them the truth of Scripture. And that sure isn’t happening.
“And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; 26- Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.” -Luke 21:35-36 (KJV)
And let’s not forget what the Bible says about the last days concerning the sun and moon. Could this be one of the markers that Joel and Peter talk about in the Books of Joel and Acts? Stay tuned…
“And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. 31- The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord come..” -Joel 2:30-31 (KJV)
“‘And I will grant wonders in the sky above And signs on the earth below, Blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke. 20- ‘The sun will be turned into darkness And the moon into blood, Before the great and glorious day of the Lord shall come. 21- ‘And it shall be that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’” -Acts 2:19-21 (KJV)
I encourage all who read this to start right now reading your Bible and seeking God’s face. Ask Him if these are indeed signs forecast in His word. For myself, I firmly believe they are and He is warning us that His return is near. The world – this planet – is being shaken but who is watching, listening or heeding the signs? How about you?
And … are you saved? Are you ready to stand before the God of all Creation?
