Bible Prophecy Commentary: US, UK, France Strike Damascus Syria – What Could this mean for the future?

The attack – it was pretty much benign and I believe just for show. Not much has changed by virtue of the 100+ missiles storming into Syria. In fact, Damascus was not destroyed and the prophecy concerning it found in Isaiah 17, has not been fulfilled quite yet. But we might be seeing the very beginning of what could turn out to be a terrible attack on Damascus and thereby fulfilling Isa 17. Definitely, the wars and rumors of war prophecy found in Matt 24 is real and among us.

We do know that the US coalition that formed this attack were some bold folks and kept their targets away from anything Russian. However, it seems that Russia and Iran are not happy and may be planning some type of retaliation.  This strike by the US-led coalition could mean terrible times are ahead of us. I can’t imagine that the “bear” Russia will roll over and do nothing as a result of this attack. That is unlike Putin. Syria is their ally. Moreover, Iran is a hotbed of violence and terrorism and their response could be stark.

Only Almighty God knows what will happen next. We can only pay attention to Bible Prophecy and read what the Lord says is coming. Please start reading the Book of Daniel and then Revelation. We are to study and show ourselves approved – 2 Tim 2:15. Understanding the Book of Daniel is key to understanding the Book of Revelation. Friends, these comprise the whole Holy Bible – God’s written word to us. Many Christians shy away from reading the OT and especuially Revelation claiming it’s too hard to understand. It’s not and spending time praying and asking the Holy Spirit to bring you the truth of His word is always the right way to proceed.

Are you reading the Bible daily? Or … do you spend too much time engaged in social media? Or watching the garbage on TV? Or partying with family and friends? Time to revamp your priorities and immerse yourself in God’s word and prayer. Hard and terrible times are coming – the real question is will you be able to overcome them in your faith?
